The pilot had a heart attack and can't fly the plane. Brian took over the controls and flew the plane. | Brian was on a plane to meet his father. He has a hatchet that his mother gave him. The pilot gave him flying lessons.

The plane was running out of fuel. Brian has to land somewhere. He landed the plane in a lake in the middle of the woods. The plane sunk to the bottom of the lake, but Brian escaped and swam to shore.

Brian picked some small red berries to eat. They made him sick, but they kept him full. He has to find better food and make a fire.

Brian's only tool was his hatchet. He had to find a way to make a fire. Brian hit the rock with the hatchet and sparks flew out. He made a nest of little hairs of bark to turn the sparks into fire.

Brian made a fire and chopped wood to feed the fire. The next morning, Brian found come turtle eggs buried in the sand. He ate some of them and saved the rest. Still, Brian needs to find better food that he could cook. He tried to fish for fish by the lake with a spear. The fish spear did not work, so he tried to hunt birds instead.

Brian heard a strange noise coming from the sky. It was a plane! He saw it coming to him, but it turned back.

Brian made an arrow out of small twigs and a shoelace. He spent hours making arrows, too. Brian was using the bow to hunt for fish. The arrow he made was not the best, but he caught a small, golden fish with it. He roasted the fish over his fire.

Brian wanted to get better food. He decided to hunt a bird. The feathers would make his arrows better.Brian hunted a bird and cooked it over the fire.

The next day Brian went hunting for another bird, a moose ran him over. His ribs broke and the bird flew away. He got up and went back to his shelter.

Brian heard a low roaring sound. The sound got louder and louder. He heard wind and thunder coming towards him. A tornado just hit him. His shelter was blown away. He lost his spear, bow and arrows, and his fire. He lost every thing but his hatchet.

After the tornado, Brian saw something in the lake, it was the tail of the plane! There was a survival pack full of food and supplies. He had to get it. Brian made a raft so he could sail to the plane. Brian used his hatchet to get into the tail. He grabbed the bag and sailed back to the shore.

Brian found many supplies such as a sleeping bag, cook set, fork, knife, spoon, matches, lighter, first-aid kit, rifle, fishing kit, radio transmitter, and food. He was so happy of what he found. Brian ate the freeze-dried food, there was all sorts of food and he ate and ate.

Brian used the radio transmitter to call for help. The rescue plane landed in the lake. They ate some of the food and went back home. Reporters kept asking him about his adventure. He will never forget the two months that he spent in the Canadian Forest.
