3: Introduction | In this unit you are going to learn about the Indians,Cowboys and the Immigrants. You are going to hear about how they lived and the things they went through in their lifetime

4: Life of The Immigrants.... | They had it hard because the way they had to live the housing and jobs | the two main immigrants groups were the Chinese and the Irish. | They didn't make but a couple cents per day some came to help build the railroad | there were 2 types of immigration old and new. the new was eastern Europe, Asian and Hispanic and old was Western Europe | Then they made the Chinese exclusion Act that kept the Chinese out from migrating to the U.S | Some of the Immigrants didn't like the U.S sometimes

6: Life Of The Ranchers... | The ranchers and farmers had a hard time because people took advantage of them | The railroad companies took advantage also because they used high short and long hauling prices to ship cattle to people | They felt like since they feed America they should get treated equally | The ranchers had a rough time because of the high prices of goods and the taxes

8: life of The Indians... | The Indians lived a good life until the gold rush the whites just came in and took over and pushed them aside. | there were alot of battles between the whites and the Indians. They fought because the whites kept promising them stuff. Wounded knee was a huge one because it was the last one between the whites and the Indians. | The whites began to assimilate the Indians 1)clothing 2)religion 3)education 4)land ownership 5)speech

9: Continued... | Some major Indian groups were Sitting Bull, Nez pierce, Sioux they all tried to fight for their beliefs. | The ghost dance was one of the reasons the whites wanted the Indians assimilated . | sitting bull is a primary document we talked about because it was important because he tried to go to the capital
