2: Horses are loving animals! But you have to train them sometimes! They love apples and horse food of course! This book is to tell you all about horses and how sweet they really are!

3: The Shetland pony is a breed of pony originating in the Shetland Isles. Shetlands range in size from a minimum height of approximately 28 inches to an official maximum height of 42 inches (10.2 hands, 107 cm) at the withers. (11.2 hands for American Shetlands) Shetland ponies have heavy coats, short legs and are considered quite intelligent. They are a very strong breed of pony, used for riding, driving, and pack purposes | Shetland Pony

4: Mustangs | A mustang is a hardy, free-roaming horse of the North American west, descended primarily from horses brought to the Americas by the Spanish conquistadors.

6: Free-Roaming Horses | Free-Roaming horses are protected by the United States law but have disappeared in several states where there was established populations.A few hundred survive in Alberta and British Columbia. The BLM considers that 26,000 individuals are manageable number but feral Mustang population in February 2010 was 33,700 horses and 4,700 burros. More than half of all mustangs in North America are found in Nevada,with other significant populations in Montana,Wyoming,and Oregon. Another 34,000 are in folding facilities.

7: Paint | The American Paint Horse is a breed of horse that combines both the conformational characteristics of a western stock horse with a pinto spotting pattern of white and dark coat colors. Developed from a base of spotted horses with Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred bloodlines, the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) breed registry is now one of the fastest-growing in North America. The registry allows some non-spotted animals to be registered as "breeding stock Paints," and considers the American Paint Horse to be a horse breed with distinct characteristics, not merely a color breed.

8: First of all I'm going to tell you all the stuff they eat! | They eat Grass! | They eat apples! | Horses eat lots of things! A horse needs between 2 and 3.5 percent of its body weight in food everyday. If your horse weighs up to 1000 then it needs between 20 and 35 lb. of food in its body! A race horse, training horse needs healthy and more amounts of food than a pet pony that is ridden once a week does.

9: Next, I'm going to tell you about some the different kinds of horses.
