BC: INTERESTING FACTS | Some interesting hurricane facts are: Most hurricanes rage harmlessly in the sea. hurricane season in the Atlantic ocean runs from June 1st to November 30th.

1: Definition Of Hurricane | The definition of hurricane is a tropical big, tropical cyclone with fast, violent, moist, and destructive winds.

2: The Formation | Hurricanes form over tropical waters with high humidity. Th e water must be at least 80 degrees for it to form.a disturbance happens in the atmosphere making an area of low atmospheric pressure. Wind begins to move into the center of the storm surrounding high areas of pressure. Warm air heats the air and it rises near the center. creating a hurricane.

3: HURRICANE KATRINA | The hurricane you see below you is hurricane Katrina which is the 2nd strongest recorded hurricane in the US. an estimated 1,836 people died.

4: TYPE AND DAMAGE | There are 3 types of damage hurricanes can cause and 5 types of hurricanes. The 3 types of damage is wind damage, storm surge damage, and flood damage. The types of hurricanes are category 1 2 3 4 and 5. Each getting worse the higher the number.

5: SAFTY PRECAUTIONS. | some safety precautions are learn evacuation routes, make emergency kits, and strap down your roof.

6: PREDICTIONS | Hurricanes can be predicted and are usually very accurate.

7: FORMATION | Hurricanes usually form over warm, tropical waters.
