FC: Flawless Fashion of the 40s By: Carrie Haverty
1: The reason why i chose Fashion of the 40s is because i really knew nothing about the topic and i wanted to learn something new! | Also i really like fashion so i wanted to see if i was interested in this kind of fashion.
2: What I already know and where I got this information! I didn't know much about fashion of the 40s, and the reason why i chose it topic is because i wanted to learn something new. Also, I got this information mostly from the encyclopedia 2006 ed. F World book volume 7, and a couple of books. For instants The dictionary of costume, and the Five centuries of American costume.
3: Question 1: What did the clothes look like in the 40s? Typical clothes in the 40s for women would be black cloth, pumps, with a very tiny waist and usually something on their head. For men would be casual dress pants (tan), cotton hat, jacket, slacks, and moccasin shoes.
4: Question 2: What is fashion? - Ugly, elegant - as long as its in style -can be anything you want
5: Question 3: What affect did World War 2 have on the Fashion of the 40s? - clothes were rationed -had only the essentials
6: Conclusion: The information i collected was basically about, what did the Fashion of the 40s look like, how did certain things like World War 2 affect that, and what was fashion back then.
