S: Jada Marie Leigh : The First 16 Years

BC: This is a story about a girl full of dreams and wishes. A girl who brought a smile to everyone around her. A girl who is independent and creative and special. This girl is my greatest blessing. My bug. My Jada.

FC: Jada Marie Leigh The First 16 Years

God blessed the world with a beautiful baby girl on July 7, 1996 | You were 6 pounds 10 oz of cuteness! You slept through the night at 2 weeks old!!! | 5 months | 2 days old | 4 months, with Mommy and Uncle Jessie | 4 generations of strong women! Grandma Grape, Grandma Carlson Jada Marie and Debra. | 5 months

You were such a happy baby, always brought a smile to your mama's face. Even when I would come home and you would reach up your little arms and exclaim "Dada!" You loved your Grandpa Dave and could always be found following him around. That or crawling around with Rocky the dog. Grandma Grape (Great Grandma) had a special place with you as well. You loved going to church with Nanny and Grandpa Blank. You loved to sing songs about Jesus.

 My beautiful Jada Bug!

On our way to a bible study, you were as usual talking up a storm about what you learned about Jesus. You asked me to help you pray for Jesus to come into your heart. | In result, you were baptized by Pastor Jeff Love on January 6, 2002 at Broadway Baptist Church in Boise Idaho

First day of Kindergarten!!! | You were so excited about going to school. Your first school teacher was Mrs. Boyd at Jackson Elementary in Boise Idaho. Kindergarten teachers always have a special place in everyone's hearts and she was a great teacher! | Your first bus ride was when you were in 1st grade. Again, another big excitement for you.

Some of your many firsts! | You told me you couldn't read the board at school, so after much convincing, (sorry kiddo) I finally took you in and found out you are blind as a bat.

The tooth fairy gave you a whole dollar for your first tooth!!! Inflation really went up for each tooth! Grandpa Dave taught you to ride your bike without training wheels! Your dad bought you your first leather Jacket for Christmas one year!!

My little nut girl!! You always had a way to make me laugh. With your contests with your friends at daycare, this one was who can leave the cup on their face the longest... or you trying to look like Mom when she gets out of the shower, or plain out silliness. Your a nut girl, but your my nut girl!!

Halloween was your favorite holiday, besides Christmas and your birthday! We always tried to have a pumpkin each year even if it was the night before we would be carving!!

Family is important! Period! When friends fail us, you always have family! You loved visiting your cousins and sharing secrets with your Aunts. You are one loved little bug!

Grandpa Dave & Jada | Grandma, Grandpa & Jada | Stephanie, Leslie, Jada, Donnie & Kristen | Stephanie, Leslie, Kristen, Donnie & Jada | Jada, Leslie, Kristen, Stephanie and Aunt Brenda | Jada and Uncle Jessie

We couldn't go a page without your favorite Pajammies!! The Bug Jammies!!

Remember Thumper? | The most spoiled bunny on the block... Ok, the ONLY bunny on the block!!

We didn't always have vacation, but when we did, we had a blast! In 2007, we went to Disney World then to the Bahama's! That in my opinion was our best and favorite trip. We would go on day trips to the Zoo and Museum in Denver just to get away! We took lots of trips back and forth to Boise Idaho almost every summer.

You always knew how to make me feel special! | My Birthday 2010 | For my birthday, you surprised me by taking me to Casa Bonita with your Aunt Brenda, Uncle Kasey and Cousin Kristen. | This birthday was very memorable! Thank you!!

Jada Your 15th Birthday Party! We swam, roasted wienies, swam some more, ate some cake, swam some more... you get the picture. | Jada and her friend Jessie | Tracy McDowell | Andrew Gorham | Jada, Nathan Rennolet & Andrew Gorham

You insisted that you write "Happy Birthday" on your own birthday cake. I sure hope it does say "Happy Birthday" on that cake!! | Onigiri: (On-E-Geer-E) a Japanese delicacy that consists of White rice, Fruit and Seaweed. Jada made this for her birthday party and I was still cleaning rice off the stove when I moved out of the house!!

When you moved to Idaho to live with your dad, I was really sad, but knew you had to go and spread your wings. | I did miss out on a lot of things but enjoyed hearing your stories on what you did. Your first day of high school, you learning Japanese, your first corn maze gig! | Dad actually let you color your beautiful blond hair RED!!! Ok, I admit it, you looked pretty cute! | You have grown up in the two years you have been in Idaho! I am happy you were able to experience all you did while you were there.

There were so many memories that have come to mind while making this book. All the while thinking, "man I wish I took a picture of that!!" But I didn't, so here are some picture-less memories! Remember when: *You tried to see if you your fish would walk and talk in Barbie clothes? *You told me one Christmas we were going to get bad presents from Santa because our fake milk "was nasty!" *We were in a restaurant and a couple of police officers came in and you said "Mom! Cops! Act Natural!" *We were at Disney World right about the time the fireworks were about to go off and you hugged me and said: Mom, I will always be your little girl"

So, here we are at the end of this chapter in your life, you have 2 years until you graduate high school, two years until you make very important decisions for you life beyond the nest. I am so proud of the young lady you have grown up to be. Yeah, we had bumps and bruises, but we can smile at the memories! As we enter the next 16 years of your life (and beyond) I am proud to face the challenges and celebrate the victory's with you by my side!

And one last special memory and a glimpse into our future! When you gave your blessing to Tracy to marry your mama! I was blessed to have you there when he asked me, and I will be blessed to have you in the beginning of our new chapter!
