6: Cameron quickly left his job and moved to Los Angeles, where he started working in the entertainment industry. His first film was a twelve minute short with special effects called the "Xenogensis". This resulted in Cameron getting a job in the model department of Roger Corman's production company. | Cameron first attended the California State University too study physics. He soon dropped out of college and became a truck driver. After watch George Lucas's "Star Wars", he decided he should make his own epics.
8: Corman's low-budget film factory was the perfect place for Cameron to study his craft. | Cameron was appointed Art Director of "Battle Beyond the Stars"(1980), Production Designer and Second Unit Direction on "Galaxy of Terror" (1981), and finally Director of Paranh 2: The Spawning' (1981). One night, Cameron had a nightmare of a robot assassin from the future. This nightmare lead him to write "The Terminator". He soon made friends with Gale Anne Hurd and convinced her to buy the script for $1.00, as long as Cameron gets to direct the film.
9: Cameron continued to write scripts and direct. This includes "Rambo: First Blood II" (1985), "Aliens" (1986), and "The Abyss" (1989). In the following year, Larry Kasanoff formed Lightstorm Entertainment. The first movie released was "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" in 1991. Cameron soon produced Katherine Bigelow's "Point Break", also in 1991. In 1993, Cameron founded his own company called Digital Domain. This allowed him to direct "True Lies" (1994), co-produce, co-write "Strange Days" (1995). Soon after, in 1997, Cameron released "Titanic", which is said to be the most costliest, biggest, and most successful movie ever made.
10: Cameron continued his career in 2000, as executive producer of "Dark Angels". He soon then directed "Solaris" in 2002, "Ghost of the Abyss" in 2003, and then "Aliens of the Deep" (2005). James returned to the producer seat "Volcanoes in the Deep" (2005).
11: James has also recently changed the special effects business, with the release of "Avatar", in 2009. "Avatar" is said to be the most expensive movie ever made, with a budget of three hundred million dollars. Cameron also directed "The Hurt Locker" (2009).
