BC: This is a Summary of the life of Dr. Josef Mengele | Th Death Angel

FC: Mengele by: John Dallas

Dr. Mengele was one of many Nazis who experimented on Jews during the Holocaust. but Mengele was the by far the most cruel and heartless

He was born on March 16th, 1911 in Gunzburg, Germany. He was the eldest of three. | In 1935 he receives his PhD in anthropology. In 1937 he became the apprentice to a Dr. who was interested it genetics of twins.

He joined the Nazi party in 1937. Then the next year he earned his Medical degree and joined the SS. While serving for the SS he pulled two German soldiers out of a burning tank and received the Iron Cross First Class

In May 1943 Mengele replaced the former Head Doctor at Auschwitz, a concentration camp. He was put in charge of a Gypsy camp. In 1944 the prisoners of this camp were gassed and as a result Mengele was moved to the head medical chief of Berkinau, a branch of Auschwitz

While being in his position at Auschwitz he took part in almost all the camp selections. | Mengele picked the weakest of the prisoners and either cremate them or tell them they would be getting a shower and instead use poison-gas.

during his 21st month at Auschwitz the camp inmates referred to him as the white angel. This was because his white coat and his white arms stuck out and gave him the look of an angel.

Mengele would greet people coming into the camps searching for twins for his research. He would go to the children's cabins and draw a line about 5 feet from the floor and who ever could not reach the line with their head were sent to be gassed.

Mengele's experiments included operations with the heart without anything to put them to sleep. He would use Shock treatment and tie children up so he could freeze them to almost death. | He would bring twins in, inject them with chloroform instantly killing them. He would them dissect them and examine all the parts carefully. He Experimented with injecting liquids in the subjects eyes to try and control there eye color. He then spent time with trying to find a pain connection between twins as well as mothers and their daughters by torturing

On January 27, 1945 the SS abandoned Auschwitz and Mengele was transfered to two more camps before running away to South America. He was recognized in Argentina but not arrested before he escaped to Paraguay. He died February 7, 1979 in Bertioga, Brazil.

If you have to ask if Mengele was in any stretch of the imagination a good person that belongs on the Hall of Fame... you need to get your brain checked. I believe probably just as much as the next person that Dr. Josef mengele was an evil person and belongs to the Hall of Shame.
