3: Larkin Turns Five!! Your birthday theme was quite easy to pick this year as you are into princess things.. Our family friend Karen even made you a princess tent. Daddy and I got you both a large doll house. We had a family and close friends party this year. You loved everything about it. Grandma Kate made cupcakes for your cake. You handled being the center of attention with style and grace--just like a princess. You said thank you to everyone and passed out hugs as they left and thanked everyone for coming. I am so proud of your manners!
4: Larkin You have such a strong head on your shoulders. You are very mature and can read daddy and I well, knowing when we are getting frustrated. You are very even-keeled and are easy going up to a point. You will often let Bailey have her way because you know it is just easier sometimes. 6: You have been our reliable sleeper since two and a half months. You still take naps daily and don't mind them at all! | Larkin-Sparkin!
7: New Glasses! We were going to take you to the eye doctor that summer knowing we were both young to get glasses but when we went to kindergarten screening ,you failed the eye part, so a trip to a pediatric opthamologist showed you needed glasses to correct a lazy eye.
8: Easter 2012 You were excited for the Easter egg hunt. You told me you really were really wanting to get an egg that had a squinky inside. Luckily, you got one!
10: Preschool memories with Mrs. Warnock at ECC
11: Preschool Memories: "making pictures, reading books, doing calendar, bringing snack, Pop-Pop taking us, sitting at carpet and then going to explorations, making crafts"
12: Summertime holds such wonderful things... horseback riding lessons, pond swimming, family time at the Wilds, COSI, Locker Soccer lessons, family gatherings, visiting Ye Olde Mill, and The Columbus Zoo. You found when we started back to school just how lovely it is to have all that time off together.
13: Larkin-isms: fifteen, seventeen, nineteen, eleventeen popicles= popscicles iven-poisy= poison ivy "Mommy, Look! I can click one eye. Want to see?" You decided you should be a farmer when you grow up because you like eggs.

15: Face Painting Playdate We went to a preschool playdate and one of the mom's there was painting faces. You knew exactly what you wanted to be--a grey kitty!

19: Fall Memories with Larkin During the Olympics you would feel patriotic and say "Go Team Delaware" instead of Go USA. You asked me what planet mean guys live on. I can tell you take in and process so much around you. You are patient and giving to a default. You give in to Bailey so much we have to stick up for you and make sure you get your way too! You are 'okay' with school. You take a little to long to finish things, but your quality of work rivals everyone! You are wanting to read and are determined to read a few big kid books instead of your school ones. When you put your mind to something, lookout! You love gymnastics and rising horses and are looking forward to swimming lessons late winter. You are confidant in your ability and self.
21: Florida for Thanksgiving This year just the girls took a trip to Florida to see Grammie and Pampie. (Daddy decided to save us money and not go) We stayed for a whole week! You loved the pool the most but loved the ocean and playing in the waves with Pampie. We took you to Mote Aquarium where you still remember seeing a dead Giant Squid, an octopus and 24 hour-old seahorses. It was a neat experience. I bought you both a necklace in the gift shop to remember it. Several nights you were so tired from our days in the sun and the sand we were asleep before 7 o'clock! What a great place to be together is was and you are ready to go back anytime!
22: You asked for a surprise present from Santa and told him whatever he wanted to bring you is fine. | You loved being home for the holidays and did not want to go back to the same school routine, with us working. You love to be home! You had your first soda on New Years Eve this year. You thought it tasked spicy. You loved playing in the snow this year. We were able to go sledding in the backyard a few times with the amount of snow we received.
24: Sweet Sixth Birthday | We had a family party again this year. I am not sure how much longer you will let me get away with a non-friend party. this might be the last!
25: Grandma Kate and Pop-Pop got you tickets to go see Disney On Ice. You were both enthralled. We let you wear princess dresses to it, which was so much fun. Thank your Daddy for letting you have anything from there, it was so expensive for even the popcorn! You fell asleep on the way home (your usual).

29: Spring Break we traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to visit the Children's Museum there for two days. It was our first family trip. You wanted to take swimming lessons at the YMCA and the day we signed you up I let you go rock wall climbing--you loved it! You love trying out new activities and often initiate asking to do something. You still occasionally will take a nap on the weekends. Often accidentally! May 1st: I helped out your very first wiggly tooth. You actually got to see a picture of the tooth fairy! I took you to a Home Depot Kids Workshop and you got to build a wooden car!
30: Hilton Head, South Carolina We made the longest car trip ever this summer. You did excellent in the car, earning 'car bucks' every hour on the way without complaints. You turned your bucks in for suveniers and a small seahorse animal there in a little gift shop. You got to go up in a real lighthouse. We made the trip and stayed with a college friend of ours.!You were so ticked to have a t.v. in the bedroom you slept in. It was one of your favorite parts!
31: Summer 2013 | It was the summer of picnics and parks. We had very cool temperatures all summer long. You did a lot of horseback riding and we actually started regular weekly lessons. We took a trip to The Wilds in southern Ohio to see some neat animals in their natural habitat. We grew (and ate) fresh strawberries out of the garden. You attended and graduated from Safety Town.
32: Fall 2013 First Grade with Miss Janakievski This year you seem more engaged in school and learning than last year. I know you are challenged more. You continue to read above grade level and enjoy art, music and gym a lot. You and Bailey love to still pretend play together being gymnasts or horse-trainers.
33: You enjoyed gymnastics and horse back riding lesson this fall until you had a score with a horse. He took off around the inside arena. You started screaming and brought everyone over within miles to check to see what had happened! We made you keep riding until there were no more tears. Despite your scare you wanted to be a cowgirl for Halloween and Karen was happy to oblige in making you cowgirl outfits. It even won best group costume award at school!
34: Christmas 2013 | You asked for a pair of slippers from Santa and a surprise.
35: You asked for a special breakfast on Thanksgiving so I made you a pancake turkey, which you were thrilled to eat! | S is for Shepherd... This year you were a part of the Christmas Play at church. You were a little nervous. You had quite the audience to perform for. It included Grammie, Grandma Kate, Pop-Pop, Aunt Marilyn and your cousins!
