Liz Bridge To Terabithia - Page Text Content

BC: My favorite part of the book is when Jesse meets Leslie. I like it because it is kind of awkward between them when they are talking even though it didn't have to be.

FC: Bridge To Terabithia By: Katherine Paterson Created by Liz

1: One interaction is that Leslie beats Jesse in the race and, Jess thought he would win. Another one is Jess and Leslie Build Terabithia together. Last but not least, they go to Terabithia most of the time.

2: Terabithia is a magical, wonderful place, that Jess and Leslie brought to life. It's up in the tree tops and, close to a stream. You swing on the rope to get to Terabithia.

3: Ms. Edmunds and Jesse relationship is very good. Jesse has a crush on Ms. Edmunds. He thinks she is beautiful and really good at the guitar and singing. | Ms. Edmunds likes Jesse's art and inspires him to never stop believing in his artwork and don't let anyone get in the way of your dreams.

4: The Aarons family is poor, and they don't have a lot of education. They have to work for a living, like milk their own cow and do a lot of chores. They are focused on money and Mr. Aarons lost his job so they are desperately trying to save money unlike the Burkes. | The Burkes family has a lot of money and doesn't need to worry about that. Both the parents are well educated and, write adult novels, for fun. Unlike the Aarons they don't need to work and do a lot of chores and milk their own cow. The are not focused on money and want to live a simple life.

5: The conflict of the story is that Jesse went to Washington to an art show, with Miss. Edmunds. When Jesse gets home he finds out that Leslie died. Leslie died because she was going to Terabithia and she was swinging on the rope to Terabithia and, they think she hit her head. Jesse feels guilty because, if he had asked if she wanted to come to Washington with them none of that would have happened. Jesse feels guilty and angry because, he feels Leslie left him alone, by himself. That is the conflict of the story.

6: One of the things Jesse learned from Leslie is that you should always keep your mind wide open, always use your imagination. Another one is that she taught him to be braver. Last but not least she taught him how to be a king, you have to be loyal honest and forgiving.

7: In the beginning of chapter five Janice Avery stole Maybelle's twinkies. Maybelle was very upset, so Jesse and Leslie wrote Janice a love note that supposedly was from Willard Hughes, and they also said don't tell anyone which obviously made her tell everybody. | When Willard Hughes doesn't show up she is so disappointed and everybody laughs at her. They call it giant killers because they pretend that Janice is the giant and they defeated her.

8: The Book! In the book they celebrated Easter and Christmas. Also Jesse was taken out of class because he didn't stand for the pledge. Jesse get Leslie a dog for Christmas. | The Movie! In the movie they didn't celebrate Easter or Christmas instead they celebrated Jesse birthday. Also Jess punched a student after Leslie's death so he had to leave. Jesse gets Leslie a dog because, she got him a birthday present.

9: Maybelle is the new Queen of Terabithia! Jesse chose Maybelle to be queen because he owed her because he yelled and slapped her. Also he trusts her to keep it a secret. Also continue Leslie's dream. | Jesse is the King of Terabithia! It will be different with out Leslie because, her magic to make the place come alive wont be there. Also her stories wont be there. But it will also be o.k because she taught Jess many things.
