S: Seasons of Change
FC: My Beliefs and Values
I love and value beautiful artifacts. They tell stories and can give love and wisdom. Artifacts can hold so much and mean so much to people. They are stories transformed to objects - some might almost be magical. Here, in the picture my hat is the artifact. I find it a thing of beauty and wearing it made my head feel more than warm.
I like to express the affection I have for my friends. I can do that by being with them and having fun together. Being silly and forgetting about other things is important to me. I am almost always happy to be with my friends and I value that. On this picture me and my friend Nina are being silly and having fun.
Interacting and socializing with friends and people is important to me. I enjoy having people around me, playing with my friends and having fun. In this picture my friends and I are on a treasure hunt trying to find the next clue.
I try to respect everyone no matter where they come from. Because no matter what you look like on the outside we are all the same on the inside. I find it important that people respect and are kind to each other. In this picture I am in NYC standing in front of a giant globe in Queens.
I love to explore the cultures of other countries. I find it fascinating and interesting to visit different countries and traveling is an important part of my life. I want to learn as many languages as I can and visit lots of countries so I can learn about other cultures and ways to live. In this picture I am in France, about to enter a small French castle.
The ritual of picking our Christmas tree every year is special and important to me. I enjoy carefully picking the perfect tree and bringing it home. I love doing things together with my parents and picking our Christmas tree is especially fun. This picture shows me and papa in Michigan when we just found that year's Christmas tree.
I value the delight and comfort of Christmas. I love being with my family and singing around the christmas tree. These traditions are important to me and I appreciate the time of cheerfulness and happiness. In my picture it is Christmas Eve at my grandparents' apartment in Hamburg and we have just opened our presents.
I find the influence I have on the education of my my little brother very important. I want to teach my brother so many things and to express the love and affection I feel for him. In this picture I am showing him the birds in the pond in Frederiksberg Have.
I appreciate my education because I want to learn as much as I can before I leave school. I love learning new things in school and out. I appreciate the opportunity of going to school because not everyone can. In this picture I am at my desk on my first day of 4th grade in Bach School, Ann Arbor, and I am extremely excited to get the school year started.
I value being together with my family because they are important to me. Often in the week I don't see them so much and that makes it even more important to be together with them on the weekend. My family is always there for me and I find it important to show them how much I value them. This picture was taken the morning after my brother Perry was born.
