FC: In loving memory of Chester Randolph
Chester "Pop" Randolph Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandpa, Pastor, Soldier for God
"Oh how we cried the day you left us, gathered round your grave to grieve. Wish I could see the angels faces, when they hear your sweet voice sing. Go rest high on that mountain. Son, your work on earth is done. Go to heaven, a shoutin. Before the father and the son" R.I.P.
"You were the same man on Sunday mornings as Saturday nights." - Justin Moore
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord." 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
While today we mourn the loss of a truly wonderful man, we also celebrate the life he lived and rejoice that he is in his saviors arms now, the one place he waited his whole life to be. We love you pop. We'll see you again!
I can only pray that one day I could live to be 100 years old and see my kids, grand kids, and great grand kids. I can only pray that I will be blessed with the love of my life at my side for 75 years. I can only pray that during those years I will be able to be such a fantastic role model of Christ to everyone around me.
This world has lost an incredible and Godly man, a faithful servant and truly a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Not one of us will ever forget his legacy, and I pray to God every single day that I can have even half the life he has had. He has been a true role model and influence to everyone he came into contact with, and my own personal hero. We know where he is now and he is so much happier, because its what he's waited his entire life for. We love you Pop, and we'll see you soon... RIP Chester "Pop" Randolph 3/29/11-11/27/11
I just got the news tonight that you had slipped away. It seemed my heart was broken, it couldn't end this way. But then I saw with spirit eyes the entrance you must have made, running to the arms of Jesus, finally home to stay with other heroes of the faith, soldiers of the Cross, singing out the grand old story: "Jesus saves the lost." And even though you've laid your armor down and passed the torch. You're still my hero of the faith, soldier of the Cross.
"Kids need grandparents. Grandparents are their teachers, their playmates, their second parents, their story tellers, their best friends, and they're the people who lets them eat too many sweets. Grandparents hold a special place in a child's heart that no one can fill. God made grandparents with these characteristics in mind; and God saw that it was good."
Please pray for my family as we lost our patriarch last night. My 100 year old grandfather went home to be with the Lord. We are so thankful he is in his loving Savior arms and at peace and now longer in pain but we miss him unbelievably and it is terrible hard to imagine our lives without "Pop." RIP CR you will always be remembered in the memories and hearts of your family who are living out your legacy as you watch them peacefully in the presence of our Lord!
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. | John 14: 27-29
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
