FC: medical marijuana

Is there a safer and nonaddictive substance that can help people deal with the pain of many diseases? Is there something that the government has kept illegal for such a long time now? well, the answer is yes! and its a very special plant, called marijuana. I think medical marijuana should be legalized because its not addictive and its safer than other pain medicines.

First, lets talk about a very common drug found in most soft drinks on the market today, caffeine. Did u know caffeine is addictive, and its very unhealthy? Marijuana has absolutely no physical addictive traits ("Medical marijuana should be legalized"). | this makes it very easy to take a patient off of the substance. The same cannot be said for most pain relieving pills open to the public today, and have life threatening side effects (Currie).

Marijuana is not a cure for illness, it is just a therapeutic way to relieve the pain of most. The major con that i found to the usage of marijuana is that you are inhaling smoke. other than that, marijuana is just a helpful drug.

People commonly believe many things about marijuana that are not true, like marijuana causes cancer and marijuana is addictive. Studies have shown that if you smoke marijuana along with tobacco does not increase your chances of getting lung disease(Currie).
