2: Born to Lester and Johanna Beyer on June 20, 1943. Jim was the oldest of five children. His siblings are Faith, Anthony, Janet, and Michael. | Jim with his Mother, Grandpa Wolters, & Great- Grandma Wolters

4: Jim married Nellie Vanderiest on October 17, 1963. They first lived on Paw Paw Drive in Holland Heights, then on State Street in Zeeland before building a house at 397 Huizenga in Zeeland.
5: Jim and Nellie shared 47 years together. They enjoyed traveling, nature walks, and their grandkids.
6: Jim was the proud father of three sons. Jeffrey James 3/23/65 Todd Michael 3/21/68 Derek John 6/11/74
8: Jim served with the Zeeland Police Department for 35 years before retiring in 2001. | To Protect and Serve
9: After retiring, Jim enjoyed his daily walks, painting, reading and grilling at family get togethers. He had a lifelong passion for vehicles and was especially proud of his Dodge Ram truck. He also spent time helping his sons with home improvements.
10: ` | Jeff married Kim Zuverink on October 8, 1988. They had three children together: Erika Nicole 5/23/91 Travis Jeffrey 3/5/93 Tyler Ryan 12/8/95 Kim passed away on November 17, 2001.
11: Jeff married Carrie Arendsen on May 3, 2003. She had two children: Jarod Allen 11/19/99 Sydney Mae 5/20/01 Jeff, Carrie and the kids make their home in Zeeland.
12: Todd married Marcy Lubbers on June 22., 1996 They have three children: Zachary Todd 12/18/02 Quentin John 9/16/04 Keegan James 7/21/06 Todd, Marcy and the boys make their home in Hamilton
14: Derek graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in computer programing. He currently lives in Stockbridge, Georgia with his golden retriever, Duncan.
