FC: Our Wedding Story 10-16-10
1: To our parents, thank you for your love and support.. We Love You. Mickey and Jenn
2: Thanks mom and dad for making my wedding day a joyous celebration of love enjoyed by friends and family, and remembered for a lifetime. With patience and guidance, you've helped me become the woman I am today, and enabled me to find an everlasting love that will enrich my life forever.
6: "After all there is something about a wedding-gown prettier than any other gown in the world." ~Douglas William Jerrold
10: Prayer for a Bride Oh Gracious God, my heart is filled with a happiness so wonderful that I am almost afraid. This is my wedding day, and I pray thee that the beautiful joy of this day will never grow dim. Rather, may its memories become more sweet and tender with each passing anniversary. Walk thou with us even to the end of our journey, hand in hand, down the highway to the valley of the final shadow, which we will be able to lighten with sunshine because of our love and happy lives. Amen
11: Awaken Bride of Christ, for you were created for and are being called to come to royal position for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)
12: In the sacraments, spirit and matter “kiss.” Heaven and earth embrace in a union that will never end.
15: Mama you taught me to do the right things, now you have to let your baby fly. You've given me everything that I will need, to make it through this crazy thing called life. I know you've watched me grow up, and always wanted what's best for me. And I think I found the answer to your prayers. He is good, so good. He treats your little girl like a real man should. He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps. No he's never gonna leave, so don't you worry about me. Mama there's no way you'll ever lose me, and giving me away is not goodbye. As you watch me walk down to my future, I hope tears of joy are in your eyes. He is good, so good. He treats your little girl like a real man should. He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps. No he's never gonna leave, so don't you worry about me. And when I watch my baby grow up, I'll only want what's best for her. And I hope she'll find the answer to my prayers, and that she'll say. He is good, so good. So, Mama, don't you worry about me. Carrie Underwood - Mama's Song
16: The greatest gift I ever had Came from God; I call him Dad! ~Author Unknown
21: Mom, I look at you and see a walking miracle. Your unfailing love without limit, your ability to soothe my every hurt, the way you are on duty, unselfishly, every hour, every day, makes me so grateful that I am yours, and you are mine. With open arms and open heart, with enduring patience and inner strength, you gave so much for me, sometimes at your expense. You are my teacher, my comforter, my encourager, appreciating all, forgiving all. I Love You.
24: Thank You Forgive Me I Love You 1. Always be grateful for each other and express appreciation for the little things each does for the other; so Thank you and say it often ~ for the smallest deed and smallest act of kindness ~ say Thank you! Never take each other for granted! 2. Seek forgiveness when needed. Say Forgive me! Do not allow hurts the opportunity to fester and sour within you. Seek Forgiveness! Say forgive me instead of I'm sorry. When you say forgive me you make yourself vulnerable and depend on the other for mercy. Love Deepens! 3. Say I Love You often. Right now it's easy. But there may come a time when not all is as beautiful and wonderful as today. You may even ask...is this all there is, or why did I get myself into this? That's when you look back to this day and decide all over again to love, to recommit yourselves and say I Love You. Picture a triangle. In the top corner is an eye ~ which represents God. In the other two corners ~ a man and a woman, showing the relationship between a husband, wife, and God. The husband and wife have an individual relationship with God as well as each other, and as they grow closer to God, they actually draw closer to each other.
28: Lord Jesus, grant that I and my spouse may have a true and understanding love for each other. Grant that we may both be filled with faith and trust. Give us the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. May we always bear with one another’s weaknesses and grow from each other’s strengths. Help us to forgive one another’s failings and grant us patience, kindness, cheerfulness and the spirit of placing the well-being of one another ahead of self. May the love that brought us together grow and mature with each passing year. Bring us both ever closer to You through our love for each other. Let our love grow to perfection. Amen
32: Often marriage is viewed as the union of two individuals. In reality, however, marriage is much broader. As we give thanks to God for the love which brings Jenn and Mickey together, so, too, we recognize the merging of families taking place and the additional love and responsibility family and friends bring to this relationship. As part of the family nature of God's creation, we recognize Zachary and the significant role he plays in this marriage celebrated today. BLESSING THE MEDALLION Lord, we pray that you bless this medallion as a sign and pledge of family love and unity. + In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. PRESENTATION OF THE MEDALLION In the placing of this medallion We pledge to you Zachary Our continuing love Even as we surround you now With our arms of support and protection. Love, Mom and Dad
38: To our parents, thank you for the gift
39: of life and guiding us toward adulthood.
42: A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, and
43: a golden thread to the meaning of life. ~ Isadora James
58: Didn't they always say we were the lucky ones? I guess that we were once, babe, we were once, But luck will leave you cursed; it is a faithless friend, And in the end, when life has got you down, You've got someone here that you can wrap your arms around. So hold on to me tight. Hold on to me tonight. We are stronger here together, than we could ever be alone. So hold on to me. Don't you ever let me go. There's a thousand ways for things to fall apart, But it's no ones fault, no it's not my fault. Maybe all the plans we made might not work out, But I have no doubt, even though it's hard to see. I've got faith in us, and I believe in you and me. There's so many dreams that we have given up. Take a look at all we've got, and with this kind of love, And what we've got here is enough. So hold on to me tight. Don't you ever let me go. Hold on to me, it's gonna be alright. Hold on to me tonight. Michael Bublé - Hold On
60: Every step that we take brings back the memories I can't help thinking that I'm the lucky one You're still my baby daughter, and now I've gained a son I'll take this slow sweet walk with you You'll let go of my hand to say, I do He will discover just how blessed a life can be I know 'cause all those years ago Your mom handed you to me Don't miss a chance to put each other first Now that you've vowed for better or for worse Don't let the beauty of this life pass you by In the times of trouble you'll stand side by side I picture a slow sweet walk yet to be When you'll take my hand and say, Daddy come see Then you'll know what it felt like You won't believe what it feels like When mom handed you to me Edwin McCain - Walk With You
