Where do I even begin to express my gratefulness? Mom, you have done so much for me and the boys. I've watched as you put the 'wants' of your children before the 'needs' of yourself. You are so self-sacrificing, incredibly giving, and a true role model. There are so many things that we have learned because of the amount of love and time that you dedicated to our upbringing. For instance, we have learned... | the excitement of traveling and...
the importance of exploring other cultures and the beauty of the world around us.
You have taught us to how to soar to new heights... | and experience the adrenaline rush that comes from stepping outside our comfort zone and trying new things.
We've learned to live breezy, but hold on tight when life gets uneasy sometimes.
You've taught us the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who love us...
and how to love in return.
You've showed us how to play all day long without a care in the world...
...and at the end of the day cuddle up with the ones that you care about most.
You've illustrated the significance of taking care of ourselves...
 and the people around us.
You've shown us the importance of finding our talents, following our dreams, and conquering our fears.
All of which you have supported us in the audience, on the sidelines, catching us when we stumble, or directly head-on holding our hands.
You've shown us how dedication and effort lead to graduation and goal attainment.
You've revealed the importance in appreciating the things that we have and knowing the difference between the things we 'want' and the things we 'need'. | We have watched and learned from your example. You have shown us what it takes to be an amazing parent and provide for our children.
We've learned how to cook, | then share, and... | perfect,
attempt to clean up our messes and maintain a household.
You have taught us all of the proper social manners to be a well-respected addition to society,
the difference between | good... | and bad,
And last but not least... | what it's like to live the best life possible and HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!
Thank you for the comfort, laughter, compliments, lullabies, cookies on the first day of school, vacations, discipline, the feeling of safety, and being accountable.
Thank you for the play time, games, family dinners, snuggling, traditions, talks, leaving napkin notes in my lunch, and attendance at recitals, concerts, athletic events, and award ceremonies.
Thank you most of all for the positive outlook, hugs & kisses, encouragement, and guidance.
I couldn't imagine sharing my life with a more supportive, loving, and selfless mom. This is my promise to one day spoil you in return, make all of your dreams come true, and care for you the way I have watched you care for me and others. | Olive you, Mutter.
