1: King Arthur | The image of King Arthur was important during that time because it gave people an image to go along with the stories they hear of their king. Because literacy was a gift that was not blessed to many, the images helped give people something to visualize.
2: This image portrays a written copy of the poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. This poem is symbolic of a knight's honor and chivalry, an important staple during medieval times. | Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
3: A shield can serve many purposes, one of which to guard its wearer from any harm. It also depicted the duties, oaths, titles and strengths of a knight or king during the medieval time period. | The Shield

9: Knight's Armor | A knight's armor is a symbol of security and chivalry because the knight's code was very prominent during these times.
10: This image of Europe during the 14th century is an important symbol of the expanse of land and nations during that time.
12: This image shows what my room will soon look like. It's a symbol of my love for books and a way to revisit all of the lands and places that I've read about in all of my favorite novels. | Books
