BC: The End

FC: By Raven Feltus | MY JOURNEY

4: The Odyssey of My Birth When my mother was pregnant with me, she was in a car accident with an 18-wheeler truck. I was supposed to be born on Valentines Day 1995, but due to the accident in the beginning of January that year, I was born on January 25th, 1995. This is my story. On the evening of January 24th 1995, my mother went into labor. After 36 hours of labor, the doctors still couldn't get me out. They decided to do an extremly rare procedure on my mother. They put a suction cup on the top of my head inside my mother. After about another 2 hours of labor, out came a 6 pound 4 ounce baby girl. That is the Odyssey of my birth.

8: My Dream Odyssey all my life i have set the bar very high for myself. when i was 5 i wanted to be a cook. when i was 11 i wanted to be a nurse. now at 14,almost 15, i have absolutly no idea what i want to do with my life. almost a year ago i began looking at all my early childhood home videos. One of my videos was me singing along to a Barney Sing-Along movies i got for my 3rd birthday. I decided that music is definitly something i want to persue. In 8th grade i sang in the Luther Burbank Middle School Talent Show. Over the summer of 2009 I sung at my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary. I am now in the concert choir at Nashoba Regional High School. I want to begin recording demo's with the songs i write. I am also beginning to play guitar. I've also been playing the flute for 5 years now. Music is my passion. Its what makes me,me

12: My Friend Odyssey All my life my friends have been my rock. The people who make me laugh and smile. Over the years I've lost many, and gained more. The friends I have are extremly supportive of me and are always there when I need them. I've been through a lot in my meer 14 years on this earth, and they have always been there. Over the past few years I've learned who my true friends are, but most important, I've learned how to be a true friend. Girls are nasty. We eat at each other non-stop. I only have a few close girl friends, the rest are mainly boys. I've met a variety of people in my life, and they all have impacted me in several ways. If it weren't for the love I receive from my friends, my life wouldn't be as complete

14: My Hero Odyssey It happened to me. You hear it happening to your cousins, friends, and classmates, but in February 2004 it happened to me. I was coming home from school that day. It was a bright, sunny day in Lancaster, Massachusetts. My parent's were heading out for dinner that evening and I was home with the babysitter and my 3 younger siblings. Later that evening when my parents were getting ready to leave and I was downstairs with the babysitter, my mother came downstairs looking flushed. I knew right then, that something wasn't right. My mother called my babysitter into the kitchen to tell her something my siblings and I weren't supposed to hear. Then my mother ran upstairs and came downstairs with my dad. They kissed us goodbye and ran out the door. The next morning my mother woke us all up at 4:30 am. We all went downstairs and noticed dad wasn't home. My mother sat us down on the couch and told us that my father had a severe heart attack the night before. My youngest sister and my brother broke down in tears, thinking they were never going to see their father again. I thought that too. My mother then told us that he was in the hospital and he was going to be there for a while. My mother then told me the whole story. The night before my parents didn't go to dinner. My mother had my father life lighted to Clinton Hospital, and from there he was life lighted again to UMASS Memorial Hospital for surgery. If he didn't get there when he did he would have died. I told my class at school that day and they all make get better cards for my dad. My dad is my hero because he is brave and strong and he has taught me to never give up.

16: My Sports Odyssey I have been playing sports all my life. I began playing soccer in 4th grade. In 5th grade i began playing Clinton Lassie League Softball. I played on the Luther Burbank Middle School softball team from 6th grade to 8th grade. And beginning in 8th grade I started playing for the Central Mass Storm junior olympic softball team. I started off in Lassie League as a pitcher for my team. I also took pitching lessons for about 5 months, but then I wasn't passionate about it anymore. After that I began playing outfield in 6th grade for my school team. In 7th grade I played outfield and 3rd base off and on. In 8th grade I was the catcher for the school team. On storm I play 3rd base, and catcher when needed. Sports have always been a huge part of my life at school and at home. My brother plays for 2 baseball teams. My younger sisters play soccer. My mother use to be a softball and soccer player. She also did track in high school out in Cincinnati. My dad was a huge hockey player. He got an offer to try out for the Olympic hockey team when he was younger, but he broke his thumb right before tryouts and couldn't be on the team. My whole family is filled with baseball fans. We also have a Super Bowl party every year (or go to one.) We all love sports and they take up most of our time. Sports allow me to get away from reality for a little while and they allow me to become a stronger person.
