3: Bring A Light to Others (B.A.L.T.O) - raising money for local hospitals to have on hand for patients in emergency situations. We dressed up as nerds, surfers, pirates, 80's kids and spirited students, while carrying buckets for people to put spare change into, for an entire week!
4: We raised $1,651.44 for the BALTO fundraiser and donated the proceeds to Trinity Mother Frances!
5: Trick or Treat Trail NHS Booth Costumed visitors fished for candy from some hidden NHSers!

8: Trash Pick-ups | NHS students picked up trash along Memory Lane the Tuesday after the month's NHS meeting.
9: NHS students raised awareness about different colleges and careers by making posters promoting them for the high school. | College and Career Awareness
10: The Boot Campaign Mission: To see one million people in a pair of Boot Campaign "give-back" boots. (at WHS): To give every senior a pair of give-back boots. Purpose: To benefit the Lone Survivor Foundation, which is looking to build a Veteran's Ranch in the near future; to give seniors a tangible something for them to step out into the real world in. Cost: $129.99 per pair Method: Each NHS member was responsible for sponsoring two pairs of boots Website: bootcampaign.com/whs
11: Vice President Kate Mohr, President Peyton Gilbert and Service Chair Ashley Evans pose in the combat boots from the Boot Campaign. | The Boot Campaign seeks to help with the rehabilitation of returning veterans by selling the boots. They are currently looking to build a ranch in East Texas to house veterans. | All NHS members were asked to get sponsors for two pairs of boots, to be given to the seniors. The success of this program will make it a Whitehouse tradition! | The boots are $130 each, and you can visit their website at bootcampaign.com for their mission and history and a store for the boots and other apparel.

13: The Book Discussion A few NHS seniors read Marcus Luttrell's novel "The Lone Survivor," which began the Boot Campaign.
14: WHS got a chance to honor local veterans and get their boots on! | The NHS was able to sponsor 148 pairs of boots for several students. Wow! | 2011 Senior Boot Challenge Celebration
15: Since the NHS was not able to sponsor every senior, the boots went to: -those who got sponsored -the Lone Survivor discussion group -NHS seniors -those who wrote a short essay thanking troops -those who are planning military careers

19: YMCA Family Run/5K/Healthy Kids Day - NHS volunteers stationed at games and at different points in the 5K, while playing healthily outside!
20: Field Day NHS's last project, where students worked different stations at Brown's field day.

22: Tutorials Taking the opportunity to help out classmates in the library after school Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
