FC: Foothill Music Theatre presents

1: On the Town begins with three young sailors taking advantage of their 24-hour leave in "New York, New York." Boisterous Ozzie wants to paint the town red, while the awe-struck Chip is determined to see all the sights of the city. Sentimental Gabey, however, dreams of finding one special girl. Owing their friend a favor, Ozzie and Chip put their plans on hold to help Gabey find the lovely Ivy. Splitting up to cover more ground, Chip tries to pair sight-seeing with his search, but his cab driver, Hildy, decides to take him home, instead. Ozzie, in the meantime, meets Claire, and they commiserate over their ability to get "carried away." Gabey believes New York is nothing more than a "lonely town," until he stumbles upon Ivy. Unfortunately, after their initial meeting, he loses track of her. The other two couples drag Gabey to various clubs to keep him distracted, but their efforts prove to be in vain, when he hops on the subway in a last-ditch effort to find Ivy at Coney Island. The others follow him on the next train, while lamenting the brevity of their visit. Upon finding Ivy, the three sailors bid adieu to their ladies, and vow to catch up "some other time," as they board their ship and new sailors take their leave.

7: "Oh, I'm a gumdrop, a sweet lollipop! A brook trout right out of the brook. And what's more, baby, I can cook!" | Chip - Come up to my place! XoXo, Hildy

8: I try hard to stay controlled, But I get carried away! Try to act aloof and cold, But I get carried away... | Carried away! Carried away! We get carried, just carried away!

Even a lifetime isn't enough..." | Gabey realizes that the pedestal he placed Ivy upon was unrealistic. But before they can reconcile, the lovebirds are separated.
