Have you ever thought about going camping with friends? Well nows the time,Outdoor Ed has finally arrived. I will have some awesome memories of the summit school. Before we left, I had many anxious thoughts. I was wondering who my roommates would be, was the zip line scary, and how would the food be? What a SENSATION!!! Outdoor Ed was the best ever. My roommates were mostly all my friends. The zip line was amazingly fun. I hanged upside down while doing the Macarena. It was totally not scary. The food was insanely delicious. It was all mostly healthy and gave us all great protein. The inspiring hike, my awesome day group, and the delicious food made Outdoor Ed memorable.
WOW! Their so big and tall!
Goofy! I was messing around when we were ziplining.
What to choose, what to choose.
“ Are we there yet,” I screeched as we climbed Rocky Mountain National Park. While we were hiking I saw some beautiful flowers. Some were sky blue and others were lava red with thorns. The directors told us that some trees had all of their sugar and other resources on the outside. And then we realized, we were surrounded by them. We smelled the trees and they smelled like butterscotch and some smelled like a candy store. We also encountered many rivers and streams. They looked like people put blue dye and glitter in them because they looked sparkly and dark blue. There were magnificent mountains surrounding us with their beauty. They were all either rocky or covered with trees. On the way down we saw a herd of handsome elk. They were amazing and some had antlers about four feet tall! The hike was the bomb. No other hike could match how fun this one was.
AWSOME!!! Check out the mountains. My friends mouth was wide open.
It is so pretty. Do you think its spiky? The ground was covered in wonderful flowers.
Splash, splash! A current powering over rocks and other ground resources. My friend Luke almost fell into a river but luckily kept his balance.
My day group was as best as could be. My friends Luke and KC were with me. My absolute favorite rotation was the zip line. I hung upside down while doing the Macarena. You go at least 15 miles per hour. One of my least favorite sessions was low ropes. It was pointless and all we worked on was teamwork. The playground is where we went when we had spare time. On the playground, there was a basketball court, volleyball court, a swing set, bars, gaga ball pit. We also did a program called map and compass. Map and compass is where you use a compass and a map to guide your way through the forest. Finally, we played the greatest camp game ever created called the survival game. That's where teachers will chase you with squirt guns and if you get squirted, then you start over. While they're chasing you, you have to find two people called food and water. If you find them, your team gets points. My day group was basically most of Outdoor Ed.
Wooooooooohoooooo!!! I blurted while I raced down the zip line. My friend KC was cheering me on when I went.
Come on! Lets get to the fun part! Low ropes was basically just talking.
Thank you, its finally break time. Between each session we got to play on the play ground.
Now it's time to get down to business, let's talk about the food. The food was amazing and delicious. If you would have to decide on a restaurant or Outdoor Ed food, I would most definitely choose Outdoor Ed food. My absolute favorite meal was the tacos. They were spicy and cheesy. Now pizza, I usually get excited to eat pizza, but if someone asks me if I want Outdoor Ed pizza i scream “yes!” and jump up and down with joy. Ah, bacon bits, a word that fills you up with happiness. They were the best with EVERYTHING. All of these wonderful foods are either healthy or bad and healthy. Either way, you get something good out of each meal. I like food a lot, but Outdoor Ed food is the absolute best.
Me and my friends had a great time while we ate delicious food.
Chew, chew. Thats the sound of us chowing down our wonderful food.
What should I choose to eat? there are so many different, delicious options!
This year's trip to the summit school was phenomenal and a great experience with the outdoors. The zip line was as fun as it could be. Hanging upside down is boring, but hanging upside down while moving is AWESOME! My day group was nice and historical at the same time. The food was outstandingly delicious. Outdoor Ed was the most exciting experience EVER! I wish I could go every single year.
We all sat down and listened to what the director will tell us. He told us what our next activity would be.
There were at least 50 elk wandering around in Rocky National Park.
I am really weired because I like to be crazy. My friend was laughing while he took this picture because of how my face looked.
