Summary | One day Samuel went hunting in the woods and when he came back he found his parents missing. His house was destroyed. He saw trails of his parents footsteps and decided to go fallow the footprints. On his journey he had a lot of obstacles, like he had a tomahawk stuck in his head. Also he found a girl named Annie and decided to take her with him. Samuel and Annie found a man Abner and they went to New York. They found Samuel's parents and went home.
Internal and External Conflicts | Internal: She hopes she will get adopted by Samuel's parents External: The redcoats are taking everyone including Samuel's parents. There was a winner but not in the book but now Samuel saved his parents | Annie
Theme | The theme is to trust others. I got this from how Abner was helping Annie and Samuel get past the guard to get to New York to find Samuel's parents.
Description | Annie: In the beginning Annie was sad when she lost her parents and also she feels bad for Samuel because she wants to find his parents and hopes she gets adopted Samuel: Samuel is very helpful and brave. If he did not love Annie and his parents he would of let them in New York and die. Abner: He is very helpful and kind because he risked his life to help Samuel and Annie .
Favorite Scene | My favorite scene was when Samuel hit the guard in the head with a brick. It was exciting and I felt like I was there watching what happing. Also I could hear Abner saying "now Samuel". I feel like I could hear the guard getting smacked on the head and falling on the ground.
