FC: Gina and Greg
Thank you for taking the time to review our profile. We want to start by saying we recognize your decision is not an easy one. We know how precious your child is to you and we enter this journey with open hearts. We believe adoption is an act of love for all involved, with your child's best interest at heart. Rest assured that as adopting parents, we will provide your child with a loving and nurturing home. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reviewing our profile and for considering giving us the opportunity to become parents.
Our Beginning | We met about four years ago on New Year's Eve. It turned out we had mutual friends but this was the first time we were meeting each other...talk about being at the right place at the right time! After that wonderful night we spent a lot of time together and quickly fell in love. From the beginning we knew our relationship was going to be forever, due to similar values and beliefs.
Our Wedding | We were married on August 8, 2009, surrounded by family and friends. We both agree that so far, it has been the best day of our lives!
 About Gina
Gina is the oldest of three girls and comes from a very close and loving family. Gina is an Early Childhood Special Education teacher and absolutely loves her job! Gina's parents are both retired educators and from a very early age, she knew she wanted to be a Special Education teacher. Gina is a very patient and loving person and these qualities are clearly evident in her interactions with "her kids" at school. The highlight of her job is when one of her students acquires a skill they have been working so hard to master. Gina enjoys working out, reading, and getting together with family and friends
 About Greg
Greg is the youngest of three boys and is very close to his family. Greg's parents live about 5 hours away on a beautiful lake. We just love going on the boat and tubing with his nieces and nephews! Greg is an independent contractor for Fed Ex and owns his very own Fed Ex truck and route. Greg is an extremely hard working and dependable person and has not missed a day of work in seven years! He is also very handy. Greg just remodeled our entire home all by himself! In addition to doing projects around the house, Greg likes to fish, spend time outdoors and run.
Gina's family is very close and just love spending time together. Fortunately, most of them live close by so we are able to see them often. Gina's parents live about an hour away and her sister Rachael and niece Maleah and nephew Nolan live about two hours away. We love having Maleah and Nolan stay with us for fun filled 'Auntie and Uncle Weekends'! Gina's sister Kristin, and brother-in-law Lee, and niece Katelee live in Arizona. We visit them as often as we can. We love staying in touch and Skyping with Katelee! Gina's extended family is also very close and everyone gets together on Christmas day. This includes aunts, uncles, cousins and cousins' children. We think at last count there are 40 of us all together! We also look forward to getting together with everyone in the summer at Gina's aunt and uncles' lake home for "Family Fun in the Sun"! | Katelee was not born yet for this family photo. | Gina's Family

Most of Greg's family live far away so, unfortunately we don't get to see them very often. Greg's parents live on a beautiful lake in northern Wisconsin. We love going up there to ski, tube and fish. His brother Jeff and his wife Katie live in Minnesota with their children Karl, Ian and Ireland. Greg's brother Mark lives near us and we see him and his daughter Hanna a little more often. Greg is very close to his family and talks to his brothers and his parents every week. We celebrate Christmas with them the weekend before Christmas up at his parents house. His dad always has an ice rink cleared on the lake for the kids! | Greg's Family
We love traveling and trying new things while we are on vacation. For our honeymoon in Los Cabos we went swimming with dolphins and horse back riding and loved both of those adventures! When we visit Gina's sister in Arizona we have so much fun hiking! At home we enjoy working out, going for walks, going out for dinner and renting movies. | Our Life Together
Our Dream... | When we were told we would not be able to have children without the help of fertility treatments, we felt our path in life shift. We did not pursue the fertility treatments, as we both knew if it was not meant for us to have biological children naturally, we wanted to adopt. When we discussed adoption and what it meant for us, we felt a peacefulness come over us when we talked of adopting a baby with Down syndrome. This peacefulness is due, in part, to our dear friend Caleb. Caleb is an energetic, loving, care-free, six year old little boy who happens to have Down syndrome. Caleb's mother, Michelle, is one of Gina's best friends. Through the years, Greg has also gotten to know and love Caleb and Michelle very much. Every fall we do the Buddy walk, sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin with Michelle and Caleb and their family and friends. This is an event we look forward to every year and can't wait to participate with a child of our own. While Gina has experience working with children with Down syndrome, our relationship with Caleb has given Greg the opportunity to truly understand what it is like to know and love someone with Down syndrome, an opportunity he may not have had if it weren't for Caleb. This relationship has shown both of us how natural and amazing it is to love someone with Down syndrome.

Our Promise | Our promise to you is that we will provide your child with a loving, structured and stable environment. We will establish household guidelines that meet their developmental level and understanding. Early intervention is so important and there is a wonderful Birth-to-Three facility near the school Gina teaches at. This facility incorporates special education, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. This would be an ideal place for our future child to begin their school career. With Gina's background in special education, we will always advocate for the very best educational programs. Becoming parents will be the greatest gift of our lives. There are no words to express how lucky we would feel to be chosen to parent your child. We thank you for taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents and hope to meet you soon.
