BC: Digesting food is a chemical change because the composition of the food is being changed by the acids in your stomach can't be changed back.

1: Physical Changes

2: A towel absorbing water is a physical change because the water is not changing the towel into anything different.

3: Inflating a balloon is a physical change because all it's doing is adding air to the inside of the balloon, no change in substance is occurring.

4: Ripping tin foil is a physical change because you are only changing its shape, not its content.

5: Melted ice is a physical changed because even though it's changing into a different form it's still water.

6: Crumbled paper is a physical change because the paper is still paper it's just not smooth anymore.

7: Broken plastic is a physical change because even though the glass is broken it's still glass, no content was changed.

8: Chemical Changes

9: Photosynthesis is a chemical change because it changes carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen, which means the content, was changed.

10: Rusted metal is a chemical change because it's altering the metals composition.

11: Rotting fruit is a chemical change because once the fruit is rotten you can't change it back to the original substance.

12: Burning wood is a chemical change because as the wood is burning the composition is changing.

13: Fireworks are a chemical change because when the fireworks explodes it's a new substance.
