1: Head Coach, Zach Maghes | "I would like to thank everyone who is a part of the Ann Arbor Pioneer Lacrosse program. The opportunity to coach and work with athletes is something I am passionate about and without all of you, none of it would be possible. Every day, I strive to become a better coach and create an environment where athletes can excel. I expect the most out of my athletes and always push them to give me their all. I am aware that at times it seems that I am unsatisfied with a player or a result, but know that I just want each player to continue to reach for their pinnacle and never settle. Too many times in life, people settle for less or do just enough to slide by. Everyone has the potential to be great - they just have to want to be great while putting forth the effort to reach for it. In my opinion, a person is successful when they show growth in some aspect of their life. Sports provide a platform for these young ladies to empower themselves. I always preach ownership ... 'take ownership of who you are and who you will become.' My mother used to say, "You become a man when you become responsible for your own growth.' I challenge all of you to take ownership of your growth and development and never stop enhancing the person that you are." | Best Moments: The teamwork and unselfishness of every assist (145). The awareness, anticipation, athleticism and defensive mindset of every interception (35). | Regular Season Highlights Seeing the team come together, trusting each other and improving every game.

3: Captains, Rachel Freeman and Amanda Murau | Team, Congratulations on a great season! No matter what the outcome, the path has been great. I am so proud of all of you for the work you have put into this season. When I look back at how we began and how we ended, I can see how far we have come. It is amazing how much we improved throughout the spring, both individually and as a team. When we played together, trusting each other, we had such great chemistry on the field and we were nearly unstoppable. That was evident in so many of our games, especially the Okemos game! I really couldn't have asked for a better last season, or a better last team, and I thank you all for that! Amanda | Team, Thank you all for such an incredible season, and for all of the dedication, commitment, energy, and passion that each one of you has put into these past few months of lacrosse. I've had so much fun getting to know all of you girls and its truly amazing to see how much our team has grown and developed since the beginning of the season. I'm so happy to be a part of this team and I couldn't be prouder of all of our accomplishments. P Lax Pride 4 Lyfe Rachel

12: JV Coach, Jill Maloy | Captains Kristy Abraham & Miranda Kruse | "I want to thank everyone involved in making this season such a success! A successful season starts long before the first day, and I appreciate everyone's dedication to the program throughout the year. Girls, remember that in everything that you do, don't start yourself out below 100%. Do the prep-work, the studying, the conditioning, the research, or whatever it is that will make you the most successful. As a team, we made significant achievements and advances this year. Please don't let that stop now - keep playing! The more often you have a stick and a ball in your hand, the better player you will be!" | Best Moment: During a normal practice in April, I told the team to spread out on the sideline. Their version of spreading out had them remaining shoulder to shoulder! That was just this team's way of being - they wanted to be close together! | Season Recap: At the beginning of the season, more than half the girls had never played lacrosse before. We went from questions like "what does the circle around the goal mean?" to at the end of the season, the girls thinking through plays, evaluating where they should be on the field, and how to best help the team perform. Improvements in skill and strategy along with beating Skyline after losing to them the first time made for a wonderful season!
