FC: Pregnancy Journal | awaiting the arrival of Haskell Trace
Our journey through the pregnancy of little baby Haskell. Our handsome, sweet perfect little boy. We will always cherish our first 9 months together. Love, Mommy and Daddy
the big news | Mommy and Daddy had a feeling that we were pregnant with you so we started taking home pregnancy tests. Mommy did the test alone and then ran into the living room ecstatic telling Daddy and showing him the test. We were unsure so we decided to do 3 more tests on the following days and they were all positive. Mommy and Daddy couldn't hold it in anymore. We told the family at dinner at your Mimi and Papa's house by putting the poem in a frame and giving it to the family. Everyone was so happy and emotional. We all prayed for you for so long and it was God's perfect timing.
For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27
The first time we saw you we were so nervous and excited. You had a good, strong heartbeat at 8 weeks old. Your daddy wanted to tell everyone but I made him wait a little longer. | first time seeing you | March 30, 2012
food cravings I didn't have many cravings while being pregnant. No outrageous middle of the night trips to the fast food joint.. I would only get a taste for a few things.
 Announcement Pictures
boy or girl? | We got to find out what we were having on June 12th at 18 weeks. We were very anxious and praying for whatever God wanted us to have. We went together to the Doctor. You were not shy to reveal your gender to us. All of a sudden we heard...It's a BOY! We were so excited! Your daddy was going to have a fishing buddy. We decided to wait to tell the family at our gender reveal party. | 18 weeks
you were holding onto your umbilical cord
We had our family over to the house and provided dinner. It was a surprise to everyone. We also celebrated Mimi's birthday. | Gender Reveal Party
Names Once we found out we were having a boy we started brain storming for names. I always liked your daddy's middle name "Haskell" and your great grandfather's name. Trent wanted to brainstorm some more but I was stuck on it. We got our family to say the name out loud to hear how it sounded. It sounded perfect so then we had to find a middle name. I wanted "Stran" but your daddy only thought of fishing line with that name. We came up with the perfect name for you "Haskell Trace". Haskell: Hebrew meaning "intellect" Trace: meaning "brave" | First Kick The first time I felt you kick I was working and was 21 weeks. I didn't know what to expect. I felt your little feet and it felt just like someone was thumping me. I was amazed and realized that I have a real human growing inside of me. You had grown so much that your little feet and legs were strong enough to kick. WOW! I will never forget that for the rest of my life. You began to become very active at 27 weeks and started having many episodes of hiccups throughout the day.
