3: We are true believers in following an open adoption plan, whereby the most important factor in our decisions will be the child. We believe that an important part of growing up is to acknowledge the full concept of their life. We want you to know that we are bringing a lot of love to the table. We promise to provide love, support, stability, and a very nurturing environment.
4: baseball | We both love baseball. Michael has made multiple trips to the baseball hall of fame. We try to go to a game when we're in other cities, and often go to Tigers games on a whim when they are in town. We both grew up watching the Tigers, too.
5: Because of Michael's involvement in the Shriners, we have the opportunity to go to the Shrine Circus every year with our younger cousins and nieces and nephews. | circus
6: dressed up | We are not extremely formal people, but we do have the opportunity to get dressed up occasionally!
7: Michael proposed in August of 2003, by baking a cake and sticking the ring in a small box inside! Such talent! | engagement

16: We were married in March of 2004 | marriage
17: new years eve | Every NYE, we spend the evening with Michael's family at his uncles house. As the years progress, there are more and more kids, and more and more silly string.

20: We have three cats Cobb, Ruth, and Mays. Cobb & Ruth are brother and sister and are "teenagers", Mays is the black cat, he's 2. All of the cats are comfortable with children, they love when our nieces and nephews come over to play! | pets
21: Just a few shots of our hobbies: Mike loves to read, he's rarely without his Kindle. Carrie loves to quilt and sew. | quilting & reading
22: shriners | Michael is very involved with the Shriners. Yes, the guys with funny hats in little cars! But they also provide funding for 22 children's hospitals!
24: university of michigan | Michael went to University of Michigan, and Carrie works in Ann Arbor. Our entire home office is decorated in University of Michigan items.
26: welcome to the e(x)tended family | Large family visit are a normal occurrence around here! Plenty of aunts, uncles, and cousins to play with!
