1: colonist who lived on farms developed an economy based on farming, commenced, and hand crafts. In the 1750 one in 20 colonist lived in the city. Compared to the quite farm life the city was an exciting place. Class differences were based on wealth, and the colonies were contempt with being ruled by the English. | LIFE IN THE COLONIES
2: TOWARD INDEPENDENCE
3: Before 1763, the colonies enjoyed life from British control. The conflict in the Ohio Valley led to the French and Indian war in which Britain won. The British started passing taxes on everything. When colonist stepped up they passed the Intolerable Acts. As a result the colonist came together and had the first Constitutional Convention.
4: Declaration of Independence George Washington proved that he was a great leader. Thomas pains pamphlet common sense persuaded many colonist to support independence. Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. Slaves were not mentioned because slaves important. July 4, 1776, delegates signed the document.

7: American colonist won their independence from Great Britain. In the beginning Americans lost every battle, until with the help of France they trapped Carwalli's army at Yorktown. | It all ended when the Treaty of Paris was signed.

9: Shay’s rebellion showed the weakness of the a.o.c. the delegates of the constitutional convention met on may 25, 1787 where they decided on representation, how the chief executer should be elected, and other things. 12: Andrew Jackson | Andrew Jackson was important because he made the American Revolution ideals come alive in the sense that he favored the "common man and criticize him for his support for slavery and for his role in Indian removal.

17: The North’s geography included a variety of climates and natural features, and it was based on industry. The South’s geography was based on mild winters and hot humid summers, and it was based on agriculture.
20: The civil war | The deadliest battle ever fought in American soil. At first it began with the cause that the union must stay together. In the end that changed and for the better. It was made to abolish slavery and that is exactly what happened. It was the first step tO a country of equality.
