2: 2012 From Excellence to Exceptional The phrase from “Excellence to Exceptional” is a catchy phrase, but for the people of God to experience this spiritual growth during year twelve, we must hurdle what I call the “Spiritual Plateau”. This may best be described as stagnant or sporadic spiritual growth you perform your best but still you do not rise above your expectation. It's going to take a few adjustments in order for us to make sure that we get to the “Good Life.” Small adjustments in our faith and obedience will make a huge impact in our Christian walk. These small adjustments of our current condition will produce exceptional growth and make a huge impact later. If you want to achieve exceptional growth, it will take a change in the way we do things to impact the final outcome. During this 2012 -2013 year, we must make small changes in our lives if we want to achieve more. What will it take Shekinah Glory to go from Excellence to Exceptional? Motivation? No, motivation is needed but that's not the answer. Motivation is needed to make sure that you go beyond your perceived capabilities. We will have to move beyond motivation and our capabilities. We have to have DISCIPLINE and COMMITMENT to move from excellence to exceptional, something that we might not like, but is needful That's Excellence in Life! Good Life Principles From Excellence to Exceptional was conceived as a platform in 2011 upon which to present the power principles of Ephesians 2:10, concepts designed to inspire, transform the way we think and proactively react to the Word of God. Each principle is intended to help you attain higher levels of spiritual and personal growth, achievement and fulfillment. This year as you embrace each Principle, you will become one step closer to realizing your untapped spiritual potential. Bishop Tony Mitchell Sr.
5: Excellence to Exceptional Principles Target your goal, be focused and aim high, not wide. Colossians 3:2 Realign your goals based upon the Word of God, not your emotions. Colossians 3:1 Recognize, understand and embrace your weakness. Strive for perfection in Christ; your perfection is the enemy of Excellence. Philippians 4:13, 2 Corinthians 12:10 Expect and anticipate life's unexpected, unanticipated “curveballs.” Celebrate detours, roadblocks, speed bumps, and stop signs. Romans 8:28 Pray, Pray and Pray some more. I Thessalonians 5:17 "When Excellence Becomes Tradition, Greatness Has No Limits"
7: Life As It Was Meant To Be Discovering the Secret to a Joy filled 11 years Eleven years.., it seems like yesterday that we celebrated 10 years of Ministry. Now, another day, another year we rejoice in the fact that the Lord has brought us to this 2012. Someone asked me, what is the secret to a joy filled life in Ministry? If I had to give an answer it would be “Life as It Was Meant to Be.” Since the beginning of time mankind has searched the world over to find the secret to true happiness. Today, most people are trying to find joy in something or someone outside of themselves. We search for joy in all the wrong places. We look in the outward, not inside. I have found that over the years the true secret is finding joy (happiness) within. I Thessalonians 5:16-18 says “Be joyful always; pray continually; give things in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” I've learned that over the years that being joy filled does not mean that your life is perfect. It doesn't even mean that your life is great. What is does mean is that you trust God and believe that He has great plans for your life, regardless of what you go through. Joy is the fruit of growth, unshakable belief, right thinking and prayer to the Almighty. It's a way of acting, when things are not the most desirous. It's the path you choose to travel every day. Joy is the sum and substance of your emotions, the good days and the bad. This 11th Anniversary, I give thanks and praise to God for my spouse, my pastor, my children, my family and my church family. I have and am learning according to Philippians 4:8 to think on whatever things are lovely and pure, be joyful always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstance. First Lady Sandra Mitchell
8: To gain one must first lose To lose one must first chance Chance the moment Risk the day. What is life, but a chance in itself? What is a day without a risk? No moment passes No time ceases No second expires But, your increases. As time flies No one can stop No one can regain The moment just passed Is but a mere memory in history. So chance the day Dive into Risk it all What more to lose Except time. Time is of the essence And the essence is your time. Choose you so wisely. Waste not want not But, make the most of what you have. Give and it will be given. Show no honor and it shall be taken. Some time flies. Some time slows. Time is forever passing. Shall it stop for a man? No. Any time. This time. Some time. All the time. How many times we watch our lives | Drizzle from one side down to the other As the hourglass pours Our eyes stop to gaze at the beauty Of moving time. Stalled in space that moment is gone Just wasted away. Flipped back over only to do it again. Rise up generations; it's time to take a stand. Stand in the moment and vision in the future. For tomorrow is not promised And today is a present. As history now stated Time is of the essence. Don't hold off. Don't hold back. Make the most of what you have Because you can't get it back. But, you can take this very second Of this very minute Of this very hour And choose how you spend it. Choose whom you shall serve For not one can serve two And not two walk unless agreed. Agree at this time To change your lifestyle. | No daylights savings time No stop watch Not even Grandfather Time No winding watch Can stop or reverse All the past memories All the past hurts But, He, the creator of time, the mender of wounds, the potter of clay can erase stains and loose chains that times past hold on the future. Time would not be. For our one is His thousand And His thousand is our one. So how many more thousands Shall you choose Choose to waste thinking Instead of time doing? Can anyone make you choose? Nope, not any. Your time is your choice Your choice is your voice. No words can describe For your actions will always scream What lies in every heart beat Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. It is He at this time Waiting patiently all of this time. So will you adhere Or turn a deaf ear To the Creator of time? | Matter of Time
