S: The Wedding Album of Talitha & Andrew Hardin - February 15th, 2014
"I love you." Foo Fighters, U.S. Airways Arena Phoenix, AZ October 16, 2011 | Tal & Andrew: Remember that day at the Foo Fighters concert in 2011? Remember how much fun you had being and falling in love? You need to remember, even more, this day of February 15th, 2014 when you officially, before God, committed yourselves to each other. The both of you promised to love, obey & cherish each other. You promised to put aside your egos for the sake of your spouse. You promised to give the real heavy issues in life over to God - that's why he died on the cross for the both of you. When things get rough you need to pick up your bible, pray and just hug & love the heck out of each other. Remember that, over time, you'll both change as people but YOU NEED to remember what made you fall in love with this person in the first place and love who they are becoming too. Stubborn as the both of you are now God is changing you into a man and woman of HIS Purpose - not ours. Utilize that Holy Spirit put within you when you accepted Christ as your savior and, indeed, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Every time you read this I want you to hug one another, tell them how much you love them, forgive any past issues, and just enjoy the love God created exclusively for the two of you! Now go turn on the tunes. Dance. Have fun and be thankful for everything!!! Andrew & Talitha

... we celebrate getting married before Jesus Christ, our family and friends. To everyone in the wedding party, in attendance and those who could not make it... "We Love You, thank you, and may God bless your every endeavor!" Mr. & Mrs. Andrew & Talitha Hardin!
BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE !!! Just 2 days after the most awesome wedding ever Tal & Andy (2 HUGE progressive rock fans) went on the most incredible honeymoon ever... Progressive Nation at Sea 2014
We actually bumped the initial wedding date from March 7th to February 15th so we could make this event our honeymoon. Four days on the Norwegian Pearl with 40 plus bands scheduled to play!!! We came to see six in particular: Transatlantic (fronted by our musical hero Neal Morse!), Spock's Beard, King's X, Animals as Leaders, Haken and Beardfish. This was the view from our mini-suite as we left the Port of Miami on our way out to the Bahamas.
Shortly after leaving port Transatlantic was scheduled to perform their newly released album "Kaleidoscope" on the open air Pool Deck and there he was... NEAL MORSE!!! | ... and MIKE PORTNOY - the best drummer on the planet! The aptly named Transatlantic performed an amazing show to start our journey.
HEY!!! That's Neal Morse's brother: ALAN MORSE! (who will be playing guitar with Spock's Beard during the cruise). Neal and Alan had formed Spock's Beard in 1995 and, 6 studio albums & 6 live recordings later, Neal gave his life over to Jesus Christ and left the band in 2002 to pursue a solo career. There was much hope and anticipation that Neal would reunite with Spock's Beard on stage before the cruise ended.
The next day London-based Haken rocked the open air Pool Stage while we chanted: "Haken... Haken... Haken..." | We'd never heard of Felix Martin before walking past him performing in The Atrium. He designed and performs on a dual-neck 16 string guitar. His playing and music were as unique and captivating as the instrument he played. Needless to say: we walked out as Felix Martin fans.
Matt Halpern from Periphery and Matt Garstka from Animals as Leaders gave an extremely informative and very educational drum clinic. Andrew left the session with very low self esteem and pondered whether he should pick up a pair of drumsticks ever again. Talitha still claims to be his #1 fan.
Andrew has been listening to this band since 1987. He felt like he was 18 again while King's X blasted away at a very nice venue called The Stardust Theatre.
On the third day we finally made it to the Bahamas. We spent the day lounging in Great Stirrup Cay and rested up for a full night of progging. Unfortunately someone didn't feel he needed to bring any of that sunscreen stuff for the trip.
Hey! There's that Matt Marstka guy drumming with Animals as Leaders at The Stardust! No singing here - just musically delicious and agressive rhythms and arrangements that border on pure genius.
The other drum clinic instructor Matt Halpern then took the stage with his band Periphery. They played like they owned the place and we have now officially crowned Matt Halpern as The Greatest Drummer Alive Today. (with apologies to the former #1 Drummer in The World Mike Portnoy - see page 40)
It's the last night on the ship and after an unexciting set from Beardfish we set out to see the Spock's Beard set at The Stardust and then, walking past the Pool Stage, there he was... tuning up for the Transatlantic show later that night... our prog hero... Neal Morse!!! Talitha yelled up at him "Hey Neal! Can we get a picture with you!!!" and he promptly walked off the stage and...
... unfortunately someone (some guy!) was so nervous when he was taking this picture that he forgot to press that "flash" icon thing on his camera... | "I'll never wash this shirt ever again..." Andrew Hardin, February 20th, 2014
Even though Neal no longer played with Spock's Beard they still rock!!! We've been waiting to see them in concert for 3 years now... ROCK IT RYO!!! | Ted Leonard!!! SB's new singer started the set off right... | .. and we sang and jammed for a half hour from selections off The Beard's latest album... | Our old pal ALAN MORSE again!!! ... but why is that extra keyboard sitting there in the middle of the stage?!? | ... can it be?!? Is it!?!... IT IS!!! NEAL MORSE is reuniting with Spock's Beard again, on stage, for only the second time since leaving the band in 2002!!!
"I'm ba-aaccckkk..." | The Morse Boys: back together again. | Emotion flowed as SB performed their the beautiful ballad "June" and the crowd sang & jammed along to their epic masterpiece "The Light." It was a moment we shared as a couple (with a couple hundred other progressive rock fans) that will be with us forever. Thanks guys!
Half hour later Transatlantic capped off the final show of this incredible cruise and amazing honeymoon. Adrien Belew (formerly with King Crimson) joined them for one song and the set ended with Jon Anderson (lead singer of Yes) joining Transatlantic for covers of four Yes classics...
We've had the time of our lives getting to know each other, falling in love, getting engaged, married and honeymooning on the Atlantic Ocean...
... and now as we head back to the real world, with its real responsibilities, real jobs, real bills, real disagreements, and a real marriage we'll have these pictures to memorialize, these memories to cherish and our friends, family & each other to love, honor and treasure. Most importantly: we all need to keep Christ as the center of our lives and the bible as our daily handbook. Hopefully we, and you, can make the rest of all of our lives a hard working, strong loving, much giving, and forgiving of others paradise that will last here on earth and absolutely amaze us in Heaven. | Andrew & Talitha Hardin 2014
