3: Texas A&M | Texas A&M is a big college in Texas. Texas A&M is #8 in college football.It has 38,000 plus undergraduates. There are 800 student organizations and many activities. Texas A&M also has many community service events.

4: Baylor | Baylor University has over 3,811 freshmen at there university. Seventy One percent of there entering freshmen were in the top Twenty Five percent of their high school graduating class. 90 percent of there students receive some form of financial accestence. Fourteen thousand nine hundred total enrollment and 12,438 undergraduate also 2,462 graduate/professional students are from 48 states and 86 foreign countries.

5: Colorado River | The Colorado river is a river in the southwestern United States and Northwestern Mexico. Aproximentley 1450 miles long draining a part of the arid regions on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains. The Watershed of the colorado river covers 246000 sq. mi. in parts of seven U.S. states and two Mexican states. The natural source of the river flows from the Continental Divide.

6: Dallas Zoo | Dallas zoo was founded in 1888, Dallas zoo was the first zoo in the southwest. Dallas zoo is over 106 acres, and is the largest park in TX. The Giraffe statue is over 65 ft. tall !!! Th Dallas zoo holds many endangered species. Dallas zoo also breeds animals and tries to get them off the endangered list.

7: El Paso | El Paso is a city and the county seat of El Paso County Texas, United States and lies in far west Texas. In the 2010 Census, the city had a pop. of 649,121. It is the sixth largest city in Texas and the 19th largest city in the United States. Its metropolitan area covers all of El Paso county, whose population in the 2010 census was 800,647.

9: Guadalupe River | The Guadalupe River runs from Kerr County, Texas to San Antonio Bay on the Gulf of Mexico. The river is a popular destination for rafters and canoers.The larger cities along the river include New Braunfels, Kerrville, Seguin, Gonzales, Cuero, and Victoria. The Guadalupe has several dams along its length, the most notable of which, Canyon Dam, forms Canyon Lake northwest of New Braunfels.

10: Hill country museum | The Hill Country Museum located in the in the beautiful Canyon Lake area, the MUSEUM has displays on: Native American Artifacts, Pioneers including Farm Machinery, the Canyon Dam History, Fossils, Gift Shop, open air picnic area, and the Heritage Garden Trail of native Texas plants. The Hill Country Museum is a non-profit organization. Dinosaur Tracks are at the same site. Probably the most prolific site in Texas, in terms of number. These tracks were made during the deposition of the upper part of the Glen Rose Formation roughly 100 million years.

11: Indian Cliffs ranch | Indian Cliffs Ranch, today is truly a must see for all travelers coming through the El Paso and Texas region. In combination with Cattleman's Steakhouse, the ranch is a true-west experience never forgotten. The ranch also encompasses more acreage today than any other ranch in the El Paso county region. The wildlife abounds ... the cacti never ends ... the bluffs look like they came directly out of a John Ford movie! In fact, many legendary movies were shot at Indian Cliffs Ranch.

12: Jail house Musuem | The old Jail and the former Sheriffs resident were named to the National Register of Historic Places June 23, 1976. They are the home to the many historical treasures, period furniture, and exhibits belonging to the Historical Society of Porter County. There are may exhibits to see such as Jail cells, Mastodon Bones and ex.....

13: Katy TX. | Katy Texas started out as the hunting ground for the Karankawa Indian Tribes. Katy Texas was home to great heards of Buffalo and bid flocks of birds. In 1872 the first community in Katy, TX was settled, known as cane Island. It is said to be named Katy because of the M.K.T. railroad which runs through Katy.

14: Lubbock | Founded by a Texas Ranger in 1876, the area known today as Lubbock, Texas is home to more than 229,000 residents and is the center of the South Plains region. Although Lubbock still contains an atmosphere of small town hospatality and West Texas charm, it also offers big city delights. From award winning wineries to an archaeological preserve and the largest cowboy symphonies in the world.

15: Billy the kid musuem | Billy the Kid Museum is a Famous atraction in Texas. The Museum has his rifles, Chaps and Spurs and his originall wanted poster. And in the Museum they have actual locks of his hair. If you go to there web site you would see the owners live on Billy The Kid Facts.

16: Neches river | The Neches River flows for 416mil through East Texas to its mouth in the Sabine Lake.Two major resevoires, Lake Palestine and B.A. Stein Hagen Resivior are located on the Neches River. From Lake B.A. Stein Hagen down to Beaumont, the Neches River flows through the 97000 acres.

17: Odessa | Odessa is a city and the County Seat of Ector County, Texas, U.S. It is located primarily in Ector County. The metropolitan area is also a component of the larger Midland Odessa, which had a pop. of 266,941.

18: Dr. Pepper star center | Dr. Pepper Star Center in Farmer Ranch, TX is a private company categorized under Ice Sports. Current estimates show this company has annual revenue of less than $500,000 and employs a staff of 1-4. Companies like Dr. Pepper Star Center usually offer : Roller Skating Rink Operater.

19: Quintana beach | Quintana, an island located between the mouth of the Old Brazos River and the New Brazos River on the Texas Gulf coast, has been a community since 1532. Modern day Quintana is a natural family beach that is also home to the Quintana Neotropical Bird Sanctuary, Other attractions include a County beach park, which has full RV hookups, boardwalks to the beach, showers, and restrooms.

20: Rio Grande river | The rio grande river is about 1,885 mi. long, rising in SW the sun rises along the Juan mountains. The Rio Grande is an important source of internationally regulated irrigation. Today dams on the Rio Grande are use for irrigation. An agreement between the U.S. and Mexico in 1944 provided for future.

21: Sabine river | The Sabine River continues to be of importance. From before Newton county, the river has controlled of part of its destiny. In the fall of 1843 the steamboat Sabine with captain John Clemmans at the helm, made the first trip on the Sabine. Being a study craft, he made several trips up and down the river successfully.

22: Texas State University | There is 457 acres in the main San Marcos campus. Along with 5038 additional acres of farm, ranch, residental and recreational areas. On campus there is 225 main campus buildings. There is also 12421 parking spaces.

23: University Of Texas | UT was founded in 1883 on 40 acres of land near the State Capitol. It had 1 building, eight teachers, 15,000 staff members, and close to 50,000 students. UT is now in its 115th year. UT also has awarded more than 350,000 degrees.

24: Velinte Beach | Velinte Beach has its own sandy beach extending to the blue-green water of Lake Travis. The beach also has volleyball courses, resturant and a playground for kids. For those who want more, theres water slides with jacuzzi and a kiddie pool with a pirate ship. The marina rents boats.

25: Wichita Falls | Wichita Falls is a city in and the the County Seat of Wichita County. Wichita Falls is the principal city of the Wichita Falls Metroploitan Statistical Area. According to the US cencus estimate of 2010, the city had a pop. of 104,553. In addition to Sheppard Air Force base, Wichita Falls is also home to the worlds littlest skyscraper.

26: XIT Ranch | The XIT Ranch was a cattle ranch in the Texas panhandle. Comprising over 3,000,000 acres of land, it ran for two hundred miles. The ranch stretched across all or portions of Dallam, Hartley, Oldham, Deaf Smith, Parmer, Castro, Bailey, Lamb, Cochran and more countries.

27: Y.O. Ranch | The story of YO Ranch is the story of Texas. Founded by French Immigrant Captain Charles Schreiner in 1852, the 40,000 acre ranch has remained in his family, for five generations. A Texas Ranger a bona fide cowboy and on independent buisness man took full control of the ranch in 1880. He financed the purchase by driving cattle along the Western Trail to Dodge City.

28: Zilker Park | Zilker Park is a recreational area in the heart of South Austin. That comprises over 350 acres of publicly owned land. It is named after its benefactor Andrew Jackson Zilker, who donated the land to the city in 1917. It was developed into the park during the Great Depression in the 1930s.
