On Halloween night four seven year old friends went trick or treating together with their parents. Their names were Lucy, Jack, Kate, and Fred
Fred, Lucy, Jack, and Fred all agreed that they wanted to go to each and every house in their neighborhood. Their parents weren't so sure.
They went to the first two streets and the parents wanted to stop, but while they were distracted, Lucy said, "I want to go to EVERY house!! Let's go without them." So the four friends ran around the corner and continued trick or treating.
Their parents didn't notice that they were gone because there was another group of four kids wearing the same costumes, so they followed them.
Kate, Lucy, Jack, and Fred went to three more streets without their parents noticing they were gone.
The parents realized that they were following the wrong kids when the kids started running away from them. Kate's dad yelled out her name but the witch's name was Jane. They were all puzzled.
They decided to spread out to look for the kids. They started off by each looking on a different street.
Meanwhile, after the children had finished trick or treating in the neighborhood, Lucy suggested, "Why don't we go find the biggest pumpkin in the pumpkin patch across the street?!". They all agreed and they went to the pumpkin patch.
Each kid was determined to find the biggest pumpkin.
"I found it! I found the biggest pumpkin!!" said Fred. Everyone came to him and they all agreed that it was the biggest pumpkin there.
The parents were still looking from street to street in their neighborhood.
They met up again and decide to look in the pumpkin patch.
As the kids were leaving the pumpkin patch, they were chased out by a big, scary dog
The dog chased them back into their development and right into the scariest house.
There was no way out, so the four had to go through the house, absolutely terrified.
They finally get out and Kate says, " Hey isn't that my house?! Let's go see if anyone's there!" They looked, and found no one.
"How about we try to look in my house?" asked Jack. They went there and no one was there either.
"Maybe they're still out trick or treating. Let's look at my house now." said Lucy, and Fred agreed. They looked throughout both of their houses and no one was there either. That left the friends quite confused.
So they took a little walk and stumbled upon the playground and all decided to play there in case one of their of parents pass there.
Their parents became very worried not finding their kids in the pumpkin patch or looking at the rest of the neighborhood.
The children became bored at the playground. "Hey, how about we go to the next neighborhood and get more candy?" suggested Fred. Everyone gave an immediate yes to that and they went to the next neighborhood.
"They all love going to the playground so why don't we look there?" asked Fred's mom. The other worried parents agreed and they went there.
After trick or treating at a few houses, they saw a cat funning across the street. "We should go see where that cat is going!" exclaimed Lucy. So they went after it.
They all ran to catch up with the cat and it lead them to an old creepy graveyard.
"This is a really scary place, let's go this way!" Kate said. They all went in the direction she pointed to and they somehow ended up in a corn maze.
They tried their best to get out of the maze, but couldn't find their way out. Jack saw someone and asked them the way out.
The kids parents went to the next neighborhood and still couldn't find their kids. "Let's just go home and maybe the kids went there." one of them said. They all got to their own houses but their kids still were not there
Jack saw someone and asked him if he could show them the way out. He did and they decided to go home.
"Hey everyone!!" said all four kids. They were greeted by many hugs and their parents were so happy and relieved that they were back.
The parents were so relieved that Jack, Kate, Lucy, and Fred were back but they were also mad that they had run away.
As their punishment, all four kids had their candy taken away and would get it back on Thanksgiving.
