4: WHERE | 828,800 square miles west of the thirteen colonies encompassing the present-day states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

5: HOW | Doubled the size of the United States

6: WHY | Napoleon needed the money to help fund his position in the current war. Plus he simply did not have the resources to hold or maintain a huge possession that far away when he had to use all of his money and military power much closer to home.
