 City Over view

Now that I have graduated, I plan to move to New Orleans. I chose to live in this city because I visit there a lot and I love it. This city is located in Louisiana. It is close to Baton Rouge. The primary forms of entertainment in this city are Jazz clubs (since New Orleans is known as the birthplace of Jazz music.) there are also great restaurants and activities to do. Most people in this city work in the entertainment industry. Crime in this city is in the sometimes high.

Standard Living | I am going to live at Gates of Oakwoods apartments. The rent for my apartment is $600 a month. In order to move in I will have to pay $200 for deposit/fees. Some features of this apartment is, it has a two pools, a workout room, and 2 bedrooms. I also have to pay the cable, internet , and phone bills.

Household Items | My apartment came equipped with refrigerator, washer, dryer, stove, and a mini fridge. Therefore I had to purchase couches, chairs, a tv, kitchen supplies, and much more. With the assistance of my graduation present which was $2,000, I was able to buy all the things needed and left over was $237.51. The majority of these funds were spent on paying bills. Some things I had to buy with out a doubt was a bed, a dinner table, and couches.

 Transportation

At this point in the project, I can afford a car. I have chosen a Mini Cooper as a form of my transportation. This car cost $18,256. I chose the 66 month loan agreement. I chose this car because I have always wanted it and I think it is a interesting car.

 Grocery List

My total grocery bill for this month was $155. I purchased hygiene items, such as shampoo which was $3.88. And food, such as Eggo Waffles, which was $4.49. A majority of my funds went into the food category because I wanted to cook a lot and not go out and eat every night. I believe that this list of food will be sufficient for me to eat this month. In drafting this grocery list I learned that food is more expensive than I thought.

 Miscellaneous and Entertainment

After paying all of my monthly bills, I have $325.00 left to spend on entertainment and miscellaneous items. I have chosen to set aside money for emergencies, such as a car crash, or my computer breaks.
