About The Author | I find the most challenging part of writing to be the structure, layout of what I write, and the fear of it never being finished or good enough. When I get older, I hope to graduate from high school and go on to a four year college where I will study in creative journalism and writing. My advice for students that will be entering the 9th grade next year is to work as hard as you can, do what your teachers ask, try not to miss any days, try not to get in trouble, and most important push yourself to your limits not anyone else's limits but your own. | I, Alyssa Bolt am a 9th grade student at the Oxford Freshman Academy. I enjoy writing, spending time with friends, dancing, singing, and annoying my big brother and sister. When it comes to writing I really likes to write about feelings, adventures, and things that could get me ahead in life.

I wish to attend Alabama State University (ASU), for a four-year term. ASU is located in Montgomery, Alabama. I chose this institution because it has an amazing writing program and after school studies, extracurricular activities on campus, and many more reasons. I want to gain a master's degree in Journalism. Then after graduation become a writer. | Education

After I graduate from college I wish to pursue a journalism career. Some of the responsibilities of being a writer/ journalist are to choose subject matter that appeals to the reader, Write fiction or nonfiction through scripts, novels, entries, or biographies. The annual salary for this job is, $55,420.00. My ultimate goal in this profession is to appeal to my reader, entertain them, and show them my literary techniques and skills. | Profession

 City Overview

Now that I have graduated, and must find the perfect area to pursue my career, I plan to move to New York City. I chose this city to live in, because it has the most writing posts and newspaper openings. This city is located in New York. The overall population of this city is 8,336,697. New York is located near New Jersey, Brooklyn Borough, and Union City. The primary entertainment in this city is sight seeing, going to parks, water skiing, etc. Most people in this city work in the financial industries. Crime int his city is very high.

 Standard Living

Now that I have established the city I wish to live in I must find a home to live in. I am going to live at Princeton Meadows Apartments. My address will be 3217 Ravens Crest Dr., Plainsboro, NJ 08536. The rent for this apartment will be $1,105.00 a month. One of the great things about this location is small animals are permitted. The fee for these animals are $250.00 and dog rent is $35.00. Some features of this apartment are a balcony, pool, small track, and a small playground for children. Water and electricity are included in the monthly rent. Free wifi is provided by the apartments. But some bills I will have to make myself are a home phone and cell phone bill.

 Household Items

The apartment that I have chosen, has come equipped with a stove and a walk in closet. Therefore I needed to buy/get couches, beds, desks, pillows, blankets, silverware, and other household amenities. With the assistance of my graduation present of $2,000.00. The money that was not used gave me an additional money for the rest month. The majority of these funds were spent on my home living. Some of the priorities in furnishing my new apartment was to spend cheap so I could provide for myself for the rest of the month and in other ares in which money was needed. Some things that I had to do without were a television, a television stand, chairs, tray tables, and an ironing board.

 Transportation

At this point in the project I can afford a car, but instead of a car for a means of transportation, I have chosen something more suitable for the place that I will be living, I have chosen to take the subway and to walk. Taking the subway will cost me $2.75 per day and $165.00 per month. I am perfectly fine with this being my means of transportation.

 List | Grocery

My total grocery bill for this month was $167.00. I Purchased items in the following categories non-perishable, snacks, meat, vegetables, hygiene, beverages, home, and miscellaneous. A majority of my funds were spent in other. I may not have gotten much food but I do not eat much so I think that this list will be sufficient in feeding me for a whole month. In drafting this grocery list, I have learned where to shop for cheap good food.

 Entertainment and Miscellaneous

After paying all of my monthly bills, I have $1,506.15 left to spend on entertainment and miscellaneous items. I have chosen to set aside money for movies, shooting ranges, going to the movies, shopping, and going out with friends. Now after making allocations for this section my grand total is $991.15.

 Budget Reflection

When I first started out, I had over $2,000.00. But then I had to get things to furnish my home, feed me, get things to get me ahead for a whole month, and spend most of my money. Most of my money was taken by the things I needed for my home, such as chairs, tables, silverware, ect. The second most spent on thing is food and grocery, for a months supply of food. After all of y expenses and things that needed to be taken care of, I had $996.15 to spend on repairs, me time, a vacation, or any other unnecessary thing in my budget.

 Thank you hope you enjoyed!
