1: About The Author | Jaden Starr is a student at Oxford High School. She enjoys Golden Girl, Choir, and being with friends. When it comes to writing, she likes to write about her life, family, and friends. Jaden finds the most challenging part of writing to be choosing a topic to write about. When Jaden gets older, she hopes to start a life on her own and have a big family so she can make the best out of life. His/her advice for students that will be entering the 9th grade next year is be ready to work and never stop trying.

3: Education | 1 | -I attended The University of Alabama | -It is located in Tuscaloosa, AL | -I chose this university because it has exactly what I need for my future and it's not too far from home. I can accomplish a lot here and it is also where my favorite college football team is located. | -I majored in Education | -I am now looking for a job as a teacher. | I chose this profession because I love being with kids and it's something I've always wanted to do. It also wouldn't be far from home and I would enjoy it a lot.

8: Standard Living Continued | -I am going to live at: Ashley Manor -The rent for this apartment is: $680+ per month. -In order to move in, I will need to pay $75 deposit and/or fees. -Features: 2 Bedroom, 1.5 Bath; Cable T.V., Lake, Picnic Area, Clubhouse, Pool -Other bills to pay: Water & Electricity | 6

9: Household Items | -The apartment came with: fridge & stove. | -Therefore, I had to purchase a washer, dryer, couch, table, bed, etc. -Graduation Presents: TV, computer, & bed. -I ended up saving $212.22 -Majority of funds were spent on: kitchen & furniture items. -Priorities: Bed, fridge, table -Things I had to do without: recliners, desk, mini fridge. | 7

11: Transportation continued | -I can afford a car. -I have chosen a 2012 Nissan Altima S 2D Coupe as my form of transportation. -This car costs $20,998. Loan Term: 60 Months -Monthly Payment: 396.96 -APR: 5% Loan Amount: $20,998 Total Paid: $23,775.60 Total Interest: $2,777.60 | 9

12: Grocery List | Total Grocery Bill: $291 | I purchased items in the following categories: Beverages- $19 Hygiene- $24 Dinner- $87 Cleaning- $139 Other- $23 | Majority of funds: Cleaning, because keeping the house clean is very important and it takes a lot of supplies to do it. | 10

13: Grocery List continued | -I believe this list will be sufficient in feeding myself for a full month. -In drafting this grocery list, I learned that not everything is cheap and you need to get what you need, not just what you want. | 11
