FC: The Story of a Fairytale Life

Once upon a time, long, long ago, there was a prince, Paul Gregory Piersall, who was born on May 29, 1956 and grew up in the kingdom of Carmel,Indiana, and a princess, Kelly Ann Akins, who was born on August 10, 1956 and raised in the kingdom of Oblong,Illinois.

On the 6th day of April in the year 1974, Princess Kelly noticed a young man playing basketball in the church lot, but didn't know who he was.

Later that day, the princess was set up on a blind date by Ray, a friend who lived in her kingdom. Little did she know that her date would be with the prince, she saw earlier that day, who happened to be Ray's cousin. Princess Kelly canceled a previously scheduled engagement to go out with the handsome prince that evening. The Prince had pretty teeth and great shoulders.

The royal date began with pizza at Joe's Place (where the prince demonstrated his talent of balancing a salt shaker), a viewing of the movie "American Graffiti" (where they saw a streaker run across the stage), and finally a trip to the cemetery to see the infamous "Glowing Tombstone"(once headlights shined on the tombstone and were then turned off, the tombstone was said to glow).

Even though they had a good time, the princess thought that she would not see the prince again because he went back to his far away kingdom. But, much to the surprise of the princess, the prince unexpectedly returned to the princess's kingdom the following week to see her at school.

One month later, Prince Greg (as the princess called him) and Princess Kelly attended the royal ball, known to some as "The Prom".

So began their courtship. Because of the vast distance between the kingdoms, the prince and princess only saw each other on weekends. Each time the prince came to the princess kingdom, he bore gifts of flowers that he bought or picked along the roadside. | Making Cinnamon rolls

The prince and princess took a trip to the Ozarks with the princess's brother,Roger, and his wife. | The car had no air conditioning and it was so hot that they stopped at several hotels along the way home and jumped into their pools to cool off

In June of 1974, the princess attended the prince's high school graduation ceremony. As they were returning to the kingdom of Oblong (in the motor home driven by the parents of the prince), Prince Greg asked for Princess Kelly's hand in marriage. The princess happily accepted and the marriage date was set for one year later.

In the fall of 1974, Princess Kelly left her kingdom to further her education at Indiana State University, but continued to see Prince Greg as much as possible. They went to Hillman's Jewelry one weekend in the kingdom of Terre Haute, Indiana and picked out a stone and setting for the princess's future wedding ring.

One weekend, in the kingdom of Carmel, while walking by a "Justice of the Peace". The princess jokingly said, "If we had the ring, we could get married today.", to her surprise ,the prince took her engagement ring out of his pocket and gave it to her. It was a beautiful, solitary marquise diamond set in gold. Even though the princess was surprised by his gesture, they decided still to wait for the wedding date they had previously chosen.

But you will never find anyone who loves, prays ,and cares more for you than I do. Time has gone by so fast and seems to move faster. But, as the saying goes "Life should not be measured by the breathes you take, but by the moments that take your breathe away." We know all too well that life is short. Memories, events, every day happenings and special moments yet to come, are what make us who we are...Family. It is important to love one another and know that family are the people who will always be there!

I want you to know that I love you all whether you were born into this family or joined it voluntarily. I count my blessings every day and If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I know and want you all to know that when my time on earth is complete, even including the difficult times, I have had a fairytale life!" | I hope you enjoy this book and feel the love between the pages!
