S: Las Vegas 2012
1: Las Vegas, Nevada | November 9, 2012 – November 11, 2012
3: Our Vegas weekend was so much fun!!! It was one of our favorite weekends in Vegas. There were two firsts for all of us: shooting guns and horseback riding. Day 1: Our trip started with Cane's. Cane's hands down, has the best chicken fingers ever! Initially, we were going to Milos, a Greek restaurant at the Cosmopolitan, but being that we were all starving, we wanted something fast and yummy. After Cane's, we checked-in to our hotel, Signature MGM. We love staying there because the views are great and the hotel is so luxurious. Plus, the bed is super comfy!!! I literally hit the bed and wake up in the morning. Our first, "first" on our trip was shooting guns at the gun range. We wanted to do something adventurous that we had never done before. Shooting guns was an exhilarating experience. We loved shooting the rifle and MP5SF guns. It was such a rush and a great feeling. Also, we could not have had a better range officer, Lil' John. After the gun range, we went to Wynn to get Kim her birthday gift. Lauren and I bought Kim and ourselves, sister Louis Vuitton black multicolor key holders. We even had our initials engraved. We had no idea how cold it was going to be in Vegas until we actually got there! It was unbelievably, freaking freezing!!! Lauren and I had to buy jackets for more warmth. For dinner, we went to Burger Bar. Day 2: The morning started early. We got picked up from our hotel and shortly after, headed to Bonnie Springs. When we arrived in Bonnie Springs, we ate breakfast. Although I thought breakfast was just mediocre, Lauren and Kimney enjoyed it. After breakfast, we explored the ranch for a little while before horseback riding. We saw burros, peacocks, a longhorn steer, etc. The horseback ride was about an hour and it was a great memory. The scenery alone was amazing and the fresh air was delightful. Later, we went to Circus Circus to try to win minions. Success! We mainly went because Kim wanted it. What Kim wants, she gets!! We were all happy to win it for her. Next on the agenda was Fashion Show. We ate at Stripburger and then walked off what we ate by shopping. Back in the hotel, we took pictures with our matching t-shirts and relaxed. The total count so far for our matching t-shirts is three. It was a great feeling just relaxing because we were so exhausted from the past two days. Day 3: The first thing we did after we got ready was go downstairs to cash-in Kimney's winning ticket. He won, he won!!! We were all happy. While downstairs, we took jump shots in front of the MGM Las Vegas sign, ordered out food from 'wichcraft and took pictures in the Showtime photo booth. On the way home, we stopped by tourist hot spot, Alien Fresh Jerky. Like typical tourists, we took pictures and ate alien jerky. Alien jerky was so delicious! True to its saying it was "the best jerky in the universe!" It was a great end to our Vegas weekend.
4: The Vegas Machine | Gun Experience
11: After working up an appetite shooting guns and shopping, we were all ready for some Burger Bar in Mandalay Place. We always eat there every time we go to Vegas and we were almost not going to eat there. We all wanted to venture out and experience different restaurants Vegas had to offer. After thoughtful consideration, we were all too hungry to try a new restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised that when we arrived, there was no wait. It was meant to be! We were seated immediately and knew what we wanted. Lauren and Kimney both ordered The Ultimate Build Your Own Burger Experience. Lauren had the Buffalo with an onion bun. Kimney, on the other hand, had a list of several toppings. Lauren and I got full just listening to it. He had pepper jack, baby spinach, jalapeño bacon, fried egg, avocado, chopped jalapeño, Burger Bar ketchup and zucchini fries. His burger looked like a work of art. It was so colorful and had so much texture. I had Hubert's favorite choice, the Hubert Keller Burger. It came with skinny fries. Hubert Keller is not only the owner of Burger Bar; he was also on Top Chef Masters on Bravo. Naturally, I am a fan of all reality shows about food, so I had to try the burger named after him. I was so excited that I did because it was delicious and flavorful. It was Buffalo, caramelized onions, baby spinach and blue cheese on a ciabatta bun. It was served with red wine and shallots sauce. It was so juicy and the ciabatta bun was soft. We all enjoyed our burgers. We were too full for dessert, but had a craving for ice cream after we left. Luckily, there was a gift shop nearby. Lauren and Kimney apparently have the same taste in food. They each had a Snickers Ice Cream Bar and I had a Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Milk Chocolate Almond Bar. It was heavenly!!!
