16: Hoover Dam once known as Boulder Dam is an arch gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River on the border between Arizona and Nevada. When completed in 1936 it was both the world's largest hydroelectric generating dam and the world's largest concrete structure. It was surpassed in both respects by the Coulee Dam built in 1945. it is currently the world's 38th largest hydroelectric generating station. Lake Mead is the reservoir created by the dam, named for Elwood Mead who oversaw the construction. | H O O V E R D A M

21: "Boulder City"-the best city by a DAM site | Stopped at Boulder Dam Hotel for a wonderful lunch. | On our way back from Hoover Dam the bus stopped at a park that sometimes has mountain goats. Luckily they were there!
