1: Hurricanes:are a severe type of tropical storm. | Hurricanes produce high winds and floods. Many houses are destroyed by this.
2: How is it formed? | Hurricanes are formed by air that rotating around an eye of the hurricane. The eye of an hurricane is very calm, but some of the air, however, moves inward and sinks into the eye. This creates a cloud-free area. Most hurricanes are formed over water.
3: Safety precautions | There is no real safety precautions other than preparing yourself for it and keeping yourself safe.
4: Hurricane Predictions | Hurricanes can be predicted. There are satellites in space that are used to predict them. There are only some errors.
5: Interesting Facts | Hurricanes have a diameter of 400 to 500 miles long. Wind speeds can reach to 160 mph or higher. They unleash more than 2.4 trillion gallons of rain a day.
6: Damage | Hurricanes can cause houses to get flooded. Also floods destroy cars and can drown people. The high winds can cause trees to fall over and to blow cars and stuff into buildings.
7: Historical Hurricane | Hurricane Ike is the hurricane i researched . It happened in 2008. It cost 29,520,000,000 dollars in damage. There were 30 deaths in Texas, Arizona, and Las Angeles.
