42: Holocaust | When you enter the Holocaust Memorial Museum you get an Identification Card. There are four floors in the museum and four pages in the card; On the fourth floor you read the first page and every floor you go down you read another page. On my card was the story of a woman named Juliana Nemeth. The museum starts with how the Holocaust began and ends with liberation and the feelings that went along with it. In-between there is a boxcar that took Jews to labor and death camps, a room piled with shoes taken from the dead, and the door off of one of the gas chambers. There was also a room with crematory ovens and room with a huge picture of piles of human hair that was used for German mattresses and life vests. The museum had real uniforms from the camps and videos of experiments done to the Jews. The fate of most of the people in concentration camps was similar to that of Juliana Nemeth. She was moved into a ghetto and later to a labor camp. Sadly she was shot days before liberation.
