BC: A Day to Remember ... Forever
FC: Erin & Steve May 4, 2013 | Erin & Steve May 4, 2013
 Our Journey to the Aisle
Erin and Steve met almost 6 years ago during the summer of 2007. Both of us were working at a small, unique (to say the least) Italian restaurant in downtown Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Each of us had just finished our final year of college and we were spending our last summer in folly trying to forget and postpone our impending entries into the "real" world.
While the restaurant almost burned down, it was a fantastic summer as we began to get to know one another. Most days were spent alone together on the beach and most nights after work were spent with friends over drinks in Dewey. Although we each enjoyed visiting Rehoboth with family as children, the summer of 2007 was certainly the most memorable for both of us.
After that summer of 2007, Steve moved to Baltimore to live with his brother, Bob. And, Erin moved back to her hometown of Hockessin in upstate Delaware. Erin drove the hour-long trip to Baltimore countless times before moving there in early 2008, where she found a job working for Roy's Restaurant Hawaiian Fusion in the Harbor East neighborhood near Fell's Point.
In the fall of 2008, Steve started law school and Erin began her second job as a "Stress Management Consultant" for her husband-to-be. In addition to the responsibilities of this second preoccupation, Erin spent the next several years traveling around the country to open new restaurants for Roy's.
 Vacationing Through The Years
Morgan entered our lives in October of 2009. She is seventy-five pounds of love, loyalty, and faithfulness. What a sweetheart! | Her toys are tiger-tested! Really!
In May of 2011, Steve graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
On July 27, 2011, Steve finally mustered the courage to ask Mr. Ringstrom's blessing for Erin's hand in marriage. Steve had evidently been planning this for quite sometime. He had already asked his mother for his grandmother's engagement ring that she had left to him.
It was a hot summer day, so Steve asked Erin to the movies. After what seemed to Steve to be the longest hour and a half of his life, he took Erin for a walk along the waterfront area of Baltimore's Inner Harbor. After many pauses in conversation and awkward restlessness, Steve dropped to one knee. For Steve it seemed to be an eternity, while Erin hyperventilated and sobbed endlessly. Then, finally she said, "Yes!" A celebration at One Eyed Mikes was definitely in order!
Corinthians 13: 4-8 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
Today, Erin and Steve "tie the knot" at Erin's family church in Wilmington, Delaware. We are so excited and grateful to all of you who join us on our special day. Each of you, in some unique way, has played a role in bringing us together. We could not be happier! Thank you for your support, encouragement, and ... most of all, your love! | . . . . .
