4: Rebuild Joplin started out as a website. The website was put up 36 hours after the tornado hit the city. This website had two buttons on it one for donating and one for if someone needed supplies or food and water. | After a while Rebuild Joplin realized that everyone had supplies and food and water what they needed were people to help them rebuild and get them back on their feet, so Rebuild Joplin became an organization that teamed up with AmeriCorps to help the city of Joplin. Rebuild Joplin has not only rebuilt and restored houses, but they have helped people get their lives back together. In our week in Joplin we worked with Rebuild Joplin and helped them rebuild their city.

13: While they had this bonfire going the wind picked up the flames and damaged the siding.
14: On Day one we worked on Peggy's house. Peggy had gotten hit by part of a tornado a few years back and had to get all new siding. When the Joplin tornado hit it damaged the siding and the roof which caused the inside of the house to get ruined. Peggy had to fight the insurance company to get all new carpets instead of just cleaning them. When we came all she had left was her siding, so we tore off the bad stuff and replaced it with the new. Peggy was an incredibly strong lady who was beyond kind.
