2: What does it look like? | It's only 13-15 cm long. It has a wingspan of 38 cm and a really short tail. | It has white spots. It has brown streaks on its chest. It has white eyebrows above its yellow eyes and its’ round head has no ears. They are grayish with gray to brown streaks and they have a greenish yellow beak.
3: Where does it live? | The Elf Owl lives in deserts with tons of cactus.
4: What does it eat? | The inside of a cactus, moths, crickets, scorpions, centipedes, and beetles.
5: Interesting Facts | The Elf Owl usually nests in woodpecker holes dug into large cactus plants. | The Elf Owl is the smallest owl. | When captured, this tiny owl will play dead until all danger has passed.
6: Other owls, snakes, coyotes, bobcats and ringtails. But is hard for them because they are high up in the cactus. | Who eats the Elf Owl?
7: How does it protect itself? | It protects itself by spreading their wings.
