FC: By: Emily Prenevost | THE GREAT EASTER EGG HUNT
The month was April. You guessed it. It's Easter! The day we have all been waiting for. The day we get baskets full of goodies. And the biggest easter egg hunt of all times! | ~page 1~
The whole family will get together and celebrate this exciting day! The biggest prize of the day will be a Golden egg . Sure there are cool small prizes in the little eggs. But the Golden egg hold the best prize! | ~page 2~
All of the little kids sit there in excitement while the older kids and adults hide the eggs. The adults and older kids need to decide where to hide the golden egg. Only one kid is sitting their not excited. Her name is Em. She is sad because she knows that she probably wont get a chance to find the golden egg. | ~page 3~
She thinks all the big kids are all going to try and find that egg first. So she was just going to look for all the small eggs, but little did she know what she was going to stumble upon while she was on her hunt! | ~page 4~
In just five minutes the easter egg hunt will start. All the kids are lined up, except Em she is just sitting there. Before she knew it the hunt had started and the kids were going crazy. Throwing the small eggs because they didn't want the small eggs. Em went behind all of them picking up the eggs up. | ~page 5~ | Jack Pot!!
Em had to dump her basket full of eggs about 3 times after she had collected all of the eggs. All of the other kids were confused they couldn't seem to find the golden egg anywhere? But on Em's third trip back something caught her eye? She thought to herself that can't be what I think it is! | ~page 6~ | The Golden Egg
Em crept closer to this mysterious object. What do you know it was the Golden Egg. She jump for joy secretly not letting the other kids see what she had just discovered! She decided to go back to the house quietly so they would not see her. She was going to be nice and dump all of the small eggs on the grass and let the kids pick those up once they have given up on finding the Golden Egg. | ~page 7~
She thought it was the perfect plan to not say anything to the other kids and let them look for the egg. She thought she wasn't being mean she gave them the other eggs. | ~page 8~
But when everyone came back they were all happy. Em thought why were they all happy. She had the golden egg and they had all the small eggs. | ~page 9~
Turns out they all decided to have a competition to see who could collect the most eggs. Now Em felt left out because now she was stuck with just one Egg. Now she was sad she didn't even care what the prize was. | ~page 10~
~page 11~ | One of Em's nice cousins saw how sad she was and decided to ask her what was wrong. Em said "All I did was collect all the small eggs but then I found the golden egg, threw the small ones back and now you guys are having fun and I am stuck with one egg"., she said sadly.
~page 12~ | At this time her grandma was about to announce what the big prize was. Everyone thought that no one got the egg, but then Em fessed up. But she said she didn't want it anyway. So all the other kids were like alright and they went on looking at there eggs while Em looked on all sad.
Ems grandma asked her if she learned her lesson. Em was like what lesson. The lesson would be even though you shared, you were still selfish and wanted the eggs back and wouldn't accept what you have, because some, kids don't have an easter or a family to celebrate easter with. You should feel lucky and very happy. | ~page 13~
Em thought about what her grandma had said and she agreed with her. She then asked what her prize was going to be. Her grandma said it was going to be a giant chocolate easter bunny! Em was very happy and she learned from her lesson. | ~page 14~
