S: Learning about Trees Ault, Tara

1: This is my youngest son. He was interested in what I was doing, and decided to come along on the nature journey of trees with me.

2: These are some of the first buds of the year on a "Red Ash Tree."

4: This is a picture to show you just how far up in the sky a "Red Ash Tree" can be.

5: Damage done to a very old tree. | This tree is so big, that its roots are above the ground.

6: Beautiful buds are beginning to open up.

7: This tree is going to have lots of leaves, by looking at all of the buds.

9: This is a pile of buds that have fallen from the tree, allowing it to prepare for the leaves to come out.

10: Most of the leaves on this tree, are in groups of 4, per bud stem. They begin with a little bit of a red tint, then the red fades away as the leaf grows through the spring and summer, and the leaf becomes a bright green color

12: This tree has some moss growing up its trunk.

13: If you look real close, you can see the Robin nest in this tree.

15: I hope that you have enjoyed looking at some of the nature I have captured, and possibly been inspired to do the same. I often feel as if we take for granted, the beautiful work of nature around us, and don't take in the fact that there is a true meaning for what all we have. Sincerely, Tara S. Ault

About This Mixbook

  • Title: Learning About Trees by: Tara Ault
  • This book is based on an observation project I did for a College class. I never took the time to actually get up close and really look at a tree. In this book, you will see some of my observances.
