FC: Kayla's Gladiolus

In this experiment the 7th and 8th graders are planting Gladiolus. We are seeing what kind of light helps the plant grow faster. The 7th grade will have artificial light and natural light. The 8th graders will have artificial light. We will water the same amount and the same day. We will also measure and take pictures of our gladiolus the same day. We also made graphs to show the difference in the plants growth.

My hypothesis is that the 7th grade Gladiolus will grow taller than the 8th grade Gladiolus because the 7th grade plants have both natural and artificial light, and they have more light. | Plant one

The 7th Grade plants didn't grow as tall as the 8th grade plants but they were healthier and the stems were thicker. My hypothesis was right about growing taller but wrong because 7th grade is healthier | Plant two

Plant 1 didn't grow at all the second week we took a picture.

Plant 2 grew 11 cm the second week we took a picture.

This bar graph is good because you can tell the what the difference is between the 7th and 8th grade. And you can tell what the graph is telling.

Plant one on the second week of taking a picture. This plant grew 30 cm.

This is pie graph is a bad graph because you cant tell what it says or what it is comparing

Plant two on the third week of taking a picture. This plan t grew 12 cm.

This bubble graph is bad because you can't tell what it is saying or what it is about.

Plant two on day 30, last day of project, it grew 17 cm.

This line graph is a good graph because it is readable, you can see the difference in plants, and because it has titles.

plant one on day 30 it grew 58 cm.
