FC: The Atomic Bomb | By Gabriel Melendez
I chose this topic because I am interested in chemicals and chemical reactions.
What i already know about the atomic bomb is that Albert Einstein invented it. I don't know where I learned it from though.
My first question was what cities did they drop the bombs on. The answer was that we dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We dropped it on Nagasaki first. It destroyed half of the city.
My second question was what are the chemicals needed to make the atomic bomb. The answer was Uranium, Neptunium, and Plutonium.
My third question was what plane did they use to drop the bomb. It was a B-29 bomber called the Enola Gay. When the crew came back they were treated like hero's.
A summary of all the information I found was that Nagasaki as the first and the worst of the two bombings; Neptunium, Uranium, and Plutonium are the chemicals needed for the bomb; and the Enola Gay was the plane to drop the bomb.
I learned that there were two cities that were bombed on August 6, and August 9, 1945. And that the first bomb was called the little boy.
