BC: You will never be forgotten Pea
1: Our sweet kitten...how she became ours! | She came into our lives in October of 2004. Grammy had found her lost and alone in the country outside of Windsor. Spayed and declawed there was no way she would survive the winter on her own. She convinced us that you would be perfect for our family, very sweet and affectionate. On a Sunday night Grammy brought her to her new home...a long 3 hour drive for which she meowed the entire time. She instantly fit in, no fear, not intimidated at all. We let her out of the carrier and she sniffed around, she jumped up on the arm of the couch where we all were sitting and that was it! She was ours. The boys were young and she didn't seem startled by their sudden movements or loud screams....a perfect cat! We figured that she just didn't like the carrier because it definitely wasn't the car ride because she LOVED her car rides!! Often coming around with us on short trips. Such a good girl. We don't know her story before she came into our lives, if she ran away, or was dumped because no one wanted her. It makes us sad to think about it, but she was meant for us...and we wanted her. | We shall call her Peanut!
2: Peanut always wanted to be around us; whether sitting quietly, playing or if we were having a party she was always right in the middle of it all
3: Two boys who didn't want their picture taken | Peanut, Lucas & Adam snuggling with Grammy | snuggly kitty

6: Our Sunbeam Baby
10: The Great Outdoors | Peanut absolutely loved her time outside. It was hard to keep her in the house since she had been a stray and had a taste for the outdoors. She was such a good girl and always stayed close to home

24: Peanut....aka Swee' Pea, Peee-nutian, Sackos, Blubber Sack, Miss Pea | The Sack! | I loved so many things about my Swee' Pea, so it is hard to pinpoint just one thing. I guess it would her overall presence in our home that gave you the feeling of unconditional love that can not be explained. I had never experienced that with any other cat I had. Whenever myself or the boys were upset she was right there by our side. It was like she sensed we needed something...and she would try her best to be that "something", and she always succeeded. In her own special way, she dried our tears and comforted us when we needed it. I loved her sweet face, her bright green eyes and those black lips. Her whiskers were long and white but she had one black one. Her coat was shiny and sleek and if the sun it a certain way it looked dark, rich chocolate brown. Her purr was the most calming sound to me. Her meow was sweet and perfect! I will probably miss snuggle time with her the most. She would come up on our bed and on Tuesday nights, when it was just the boys and I, we would snuggle and chat with her. She would take on the persona of the English Queen, or an Eliza Doolittle type cockney accent, or our favourite...an old southern ma'am. The boys would laugh and we would get in some good snuggles with Pea. And Christmas...it won't be the same without her. She was pure joy and the best cat someone could ever hope for.
