FC: the life of CZAR | king of cats
the life of CZAR | king of cats | 1997-2011
 July 2002
Czar, Super Special King of Cats
Me & Melissa in Baltimore, Maryland soon after she brought me home | I was SOOOOO happy to finally find a forever home!
Johns Hopkins University Graduation May 2002 (for Melissa & roommate Lis; not for me)
I REALLY liked to drink from sinks...& cups & glasses too, but Melissa usually hid those (probably b/c I sometimes spilled them?)
I often tried to help Melissa & even her roommates with studying & other computer work (especially if I wanted someone to play or cuddle with me instead!)
but No one ever called me shy! | I liked to hide & cuddle up under things...
I tried to help Melissa and even Aunt Linda make beds sometimes. I don't know why but usually neither one of them wanted my help.
I helped with laundry too. Melissa seemed to appreciate it more when the piles were dirty; I never understood why but she didn't let me help much once things were clean.
I always helped melissa pack (here it's our bmore 2 bmore, move, May 2003) | We moved three times together.
We cats understand the importance of a nap.
Reading was always so exhausting... but so was campaigning (Cats.4.Obama)
I didn't even mind this outfit... | "Safe? Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe, but he's good. He's the king I tell you." -C.S.Lewis, Chronicles of Narnia
...as it affirmed my reign as Czar, King of CATS. | The Places I Reigned......er, Lived: Baltimore, MD (unknown & HumaneSociety) birth-1/2002 Baltimore, MD (w/Melissa) 1/2002-8/2005 Cleveland, OH 8/2005-8/2006 Toledo, OH 8/2006-3/201 1
I liked to help try out new things, whether new shoes, a blanket Melissa made for a friend's new baby (even underneath!), or our new carpet.
Whenever Melissa was sick I tried very hard to help her. I was very good at not playing with her tubes & wires, which was NOT easy!
Me & Some ofmyFurry Friends.. | Me & Mosley... before he tried to take over my house without asking me (which was NOT Ok!) | Buckeye borrowing the blanket my friend Maria made for me
AT&T and Me watching squirrels out the front door | Buddy was under 2 pounds when Melissa & Auntie Patty (holding him above) brought him home. He would have been our new roommate but he had to find a new home because he had something called FIV that could have made me sick.
I had lots of little human friends. Natalie & Molly sometimes came over just to look for me! Everyone said they were twins but I could always tell them apart just fine. | Cousin Molly from Cincinnati was another one of my friends. Here she was reading to me & Melissa.
One time my friend William came to play two days in a row! | I was usually pretty tired after my little friends left, but after a long nap I couldn't wait for them to come play again.
Some people said they weren't so crazy about cats, but it never took me long to win them over. | Uncle Terry let me nap on his lap (AND on his super comfy chair), though I'm not sure why he put his birthday card on my back. | Rob always took allergy medicine just so we could play.
I'm sunning with Asher, stretching with Lis, & inspecting Kristen's Halloween garb. | Most people loved me right away. Here I am with some of my Baltimore friends & roommates.
I really should have been a Calender boy, don't you think??
Here I was keeping watch over one of the little nests left by the Easter bunny. I was hoping he would come back with more treats since someone had already emptied the nest. | And here I was hanging out with Melissa on her Birthday. She'd been really sick & away at hospital-land a lot that year so we were both happy just to be together. | I liked all different holidays, especially if they meant treats! Here I was protecting the presents I helped pick to give to my friends Natalie & Molly for Valentine's Day.
I always loved Christmastime... | ...trips to the big house with stairs to run on, food that no one was watching, presents, wrapping paper and - best of all - ribbons galore...
All the goodies made even the goofy antlers & extra pictures well worth it. At least Santa's lap was nice & furry (& it only looked like he was choking me.)
Cats and dogs are not our whole life,
Throughout my life I took especially good care of Melissa & she did the same for me. I had a lot of friends & made a lot of people smile. I lived a good life. & now I'm in kitty heaven. | but they make our lives whole. -Bettina Eddie
